Holy shit! Great job MiKe, great job. I guess you could mess around with the light in the image, but I think it looks fine (and Gafgarion doesn't look particularly dark or anything). My only suggestion is to make it look like that other knight/guard isn't moving, but that's just my personal preference. If you're gonna include a prisoner, I'd say use the Gambler. He needs to be shown off more.

Hmm, or as a nod to FFT, show a Thief sprite being taken away, regardless this is fantastic work! But I might just be blind... but I take it the Merchant being there would have been more trouble then it was worth?

The guard taking away the prisoner will get the right portion of his body (our left) blocked by the menu, but the thief should be in the clear.
