Title: Patching ISOs
Post by: Lydyn on May 08, 2008, 01:22:45 am
All right, Cheeta suggested I do this. Does anyone know an easier way to patch the FFT ISO than downloading FFT Patcher, CD Mage, extracting the SCUS and BATTLE.BIN files, patching them, downloading the sprites, downloading the UNIT.BIN files, and importing them all back in?

Seems like a huge hassle for any beta testers that don't have a clue what all this is about.

CD Mage, or CD Prog, are virtually needed to import the SCUS and BATTLE.BIN, the same goes for the sprites and ENTD, a simple way to do this is...

Use a ZIP or Winrar Archive folder,

Place your modified SCUS, BATTLE.BIN, UNIT.BIN, ENTD, and Sprites into this folder, place inside a readme for the sprites and the basics of importing, then that should be sufficient enough, sure it will take five minutes or so, but it would definitely be worth it.

Isn't PPF-o-matic designed specifically for playstation ISOs?

Edit: As a matter of fact the PPF extension means Playstation Patching Format. Try it out.
