Question!

What about the event battles with Delita and the princess?

Getting Balthier, Luso, their battles, and the one at the Thieves Den with Agrias as a guest?

And the Lip Rouge, as broken of an item as it is anyways.

The additional Beowulf and Reis quest as well.

What about those extra things?

There is no reason the Delita event can't be done. Everything else you mentioned though... I wouldn't be sure, you would need to replace a few sprites. Luso, Balthier, and Aliste shouldn't be too difficult. They would require replacement of a few sprites though. Of course that shouldn't be a problem. Forget about cutscenes though, the PSX doesn't even seem to be able to read that instruction. Lip Rouge... I cannot even find the instruction that gives you the item (if I could, things would be alot easier for me in Mercenaries...) So no lip rouge, in fact... the sprites and a few new Evtchr.bin were added for that single event.

Wouldn't this be much easier if we simply waited for Zodiac to reveal the whole "iso expansion" thing I know he's mentioned before, so we won't have to replace anything?

That's a pipe dream currently. It's best to use what we can as available, as things are now. That is far down the road.

This project is more then possible, we have all the tools. At least, the script can be ported, at most, the additional events can be as well.

Well, if it's just the script, yeah...
Luso and Balthier should be left out though.
In the very least, Luso. He's got no right to be there. Balthier is cool, and he's been pulled through time by the Auracite....  

If I can figure out how to use FFTacText then I could start on it... what program is best to use and at what settings for extracting the WotL stuff?
My CDMage doesn't recognize most of it...

I always thought it was odd the way they just sort of stuck him in with no reason to be there at all. Luso isn't a *hunter* either. He's just a guy with no special job.

If anything I would port the event and replace Luso with a new custom job & sprite.

Very interesting idea! Perhaps one of the other characters that have been converted into FFT sprites, such as Firion or Vincent!

The cutscenes take up about 162 MB. Without them, the ISO for the PSP game is only 238 MB.

Which is strange since the ISO for the original is over 500 MB...

You sure that it isn't a CSO you're looking at?
CSO = Compressed ISO.

im looking at my psp ISO right now, unmodified its at 399mb

It was an ISO I was looking at. Without the cutscenes, it was only 238 MB (give or take a MB).
