Thanks. So I figure overwriting an NPC that has a spot already in unit.bin will work as well. Any unused NPCs you know of?

I don't know if you can edit UNIT.BIN for WotL with the latest Shishi version, but I know you can with the PSX version... if so that would make matters a lot easier for you.
Monsters can't change jobs; that's how. You can't force it on male/female units.


You can edit it with shishi, much more easily than those tutorials. The only thing I don't understand is how a spot in UNIT.bin is assigned to any given unit.


All I can think to do is replace one of the jobs that already corresponds to a spot in UNIT.bin but isn't used, like some of the enemy-only classes. But then I'd have to go through and edit events and stuff to replace the enemy unit with it's new job, which is a pain in the ass, especially since some events don't show up in ENTD. So I was really hoping there was a way to just tell a job what UNIT.bin sprite to use.

Also if I want to add a unique unit to TWOL, how can I make it so he can't switch jobs (like worker 8)?

I'm using TWOL.

I know I have to edit unit.bin to change the graphics used in the formation screen, but I how do I make a unit or job correspond to a specific unit.bin graphic?

I had already done that in the past and everything worked fine. With this new version, if I load the text and patch it without changing a thing, it says something about referencing an unknown object.

Simple as this: The new version does not work for war of the lions. Not even on a clean USA or a clean EUR rom. Flat out period it does not work for me. But the older versions did. I can no longer find the older versions. Any help?

I no longer have the first issue.

This is my current issue (as I stated above in may):

So were you referring to that particular error, and therefore have experienced it yourself?

I don't even know what lag you're talking about. Maybe it's because I have a PSP slim (more ram) or maybe it's because I'm playing it off of my memory stick (reads like 4 times faster than the UMD). Regardless, it seems faster than the original to me.

I don't understand what you mean. I'm using zodiac's Palette Editor v1.3b to change the colors of different palettes available for a sprite sheet.
Btw is there a newer version of zodiac's Palette Editor? There isn't a link for any in the main downloads section, I came across it in the forums. Is there a better tool for editing palettes? I have photoshop, but I don't know anyway to edit more than just the first palette of the image (I'm trying to edit a spritesheet's  2nd, 3rd, and 4rth palettes, ect...).

Yeah I understand. I was just making sure people had enough information.

I still don't know why this is happening. I even tried only using colors that already exist in other pallets.
Just a little advice is all I'm asking for, I know you guys know the answer.

Obviously I was trying to change the color of a palette.

I don't like the small party size. I think the max party size should be huge (given the size difference between a PSP memory stick and a PS1 memory stick).
Are there any codes or hacks to increase the max party size?
If not it needs to be done!

Can somebody tell me why this happens?

I'm not sure where this value is. I've been looking through the different .bin, .lzw, and .mez files for it. DO you know where it is located?
