The Balbanes Sprite Topic (Sprite Completed)

Well,as we know,Balbanes is a history maker on FFT,achieving the rank of Heavenly Knight,and a power that can be compared to Orlandu's power,but dies very early on the game,so he really deserves a sprite

So Im organizing this topic for the creation of a concept sprite and then its development,involving everyone in this work is a way to collect a lot of ideas for the concept

It can be a difficult task,since there arent any reference,but his portrait and the bed evtchr sprites

Yes. We definitely in need of a Balbanes sprite.
And Balbanes deserves to have a sprite!

For me, since he's a Beoulve (did I spell it right?), I think his clothes should look like Dycedarg's (without his white garment).

Obviously I would love a Balbanes sprite. I actually think that Reno's completed suit sprite might be a good base for the body, with the gold color in there somehow. I have had many thoughts on this, but can't remember any of them right now...

looking at the shirt reminds me of ramza's shirt maybe use the shirt as a chest base?

well,I did a evtchr Balbanes colored Dycedarg(not at home,I will post later) and it looks very strange,since his clothes are brown with some gold details,golden skin and a very light blue colored hair.the clothes and the skin colors are pretty alike.

The portrait shows us a skin colored skin w/ black clothes with golden details and white hair,the portrait clothes looks like Reno's clothes as Cheetah said

I didnt change the hands,sash and skin color and changed the yellow detail on his shoes for red

Hmmm. Well it is an interesting test, but I don't think this concept has got what it takes. I definitely envision Balbanes in a long jacket of somekind, not a robe.

yes,the portrait and the sprite points out that he wears a jacket, black/golden or brown/golden jacket,but I think the color setup for the sprite is too monochromatic,I stand for black clothes

Colors are great, but I agree with Cheetah, I think he isn't wearing any robes.

well,people seem to like the colors,but I did a Black/Golden setup to fit with the portrait,so we can choose between sprite and portrait colors

Balbanes definitely deserves a sprite, though keep in mind that what he was wearing in his deathbed was likely a robe (and the portrait may match that) but he was a knight. For his well to do sprite, shouldn't he look more valiant?

He and Cidolfus were good friends, right? And both Heavenly knights? I'd imagine they would wear similar armor. Balbanes would probably have his head and hair more exposed though.

Dycedarg didnt change his clothes when he was attacked by the death corps and the work is based on the references,where the sprite only shows the sprite colors and the portrait his clothes,which resembles a jacket

Well,its fact,but if he will lose his indiduality if he wears the same clothes as Cid
