I decided to recouler some chocobo's cuz i was tired of having to keep the old ones yellow, purple and orange so i decided to make new ones.

I have  Light Purple instead of Yellow

Blue instead of purple

White instead of orange

and i decided to make a 4th pallette for my patch which is Green

here is a spr.  and a png of the dif colors (feet are still in sprite i didnt edit them and i didnt show them) #2 looks purple a little but its actually a shade of blue. should i submit edit colors or what?

EDIT: the png i showed is poor quality but im to lazy to change.

The first two don't have much difference from original chocobos IMO, white is too bright, green is perfect.

A true black chocobo! =D
I like the white one, but it looks too white.. maybe change it a little / use more gray so that it looks more silver-ish.
The green one looks fine. Maybe a little too saturated..

I really like that dark one. Much better than the current "black" Chocobo. The others look well done, but a bit too bright. Did you make these palettes yourself? Cause they all blend very nicely, they just suffer from brightness...

yes i did make them myself the white one the green one the dark purplishblue one but #1 is actually already in the normal chocobo pallette if you look at the portrait rows you may see (if your not stupid) that one of the pallettes are the first in my chocobo's. I'm getting straight to work on the following to fix these and make new... fix:colors to be a tad darker to be well overall better. new: Light blue pallette (if you want golden just keep the original chocobo pallette). EDIT: finished :)  i added the light blue as a 5th pallete ill show in pic here is spr. file should i submit to main site?

For some reason it looks so.. anti-natural.. even though they ARE supposed to have beaks like this...

I guess we are used to the normal ones.

Yeah, it's the used to-ness of it.
I'm more used to beaks though, I've played FF for almost 20 years.

@Zodiac: i am using GIMP i havent gotten around to try your new program but i will tho

@vanya: ya i remember in my old sprite topic in the hooded one that looked like crap i asked for your chocobo's when i also posted snowy my beaked chocobo there. the beaks are cool but i have to agree with sepherot24 that and your chocobo's with the beaks are so bright you should darken the colors abit and submit these to the main site or sumthin

which brings me to what i say next should I submit to the main site?

Crow: Black feathers, Black beak

Chicken: Brown feathers, Brown beak

Parrot: Dark Blue feathers, Dark Blue beak

Exception: Pale or white feathers end up with a yellowish/orangeish beak, which is definitely not what most of those palettes are.

Yeah, I never really bothered to optimize the colors since I never got around to testing them thoroughly. I've been meaning to finish 'em up for submission, but I been busy & lazy.

Honestly, I think this is really a matter of personal preference.  Black Chocobos in FFXI (bad example, I know) have black beaks, but in FFVII, the beak is more yellow.  I don't see either as right or wrong.

So should i submit? or should I fix something wrong that i dun see is wrong or add another pallette or whatever?

Well, I think I'll use your sprite in my patch, Vanya.
So I tried to correct some problems with the eyes and the beak in the portrait.
Also tried to optimize the colors.
I think its better, but I dont know:
