Yep, in the first post of the discussion, I had labeled what I had wanted each and every frame to replace, now you can go above and beyond and add in a few new frames (I think that event supports it...) He could eventually storm out, as of now this event is only in the works, though I know the main gist of it. If a full sprite is created for Zefane, I would see his character getting a bit of screen time here.

Thanks. I would make the sitting sprites first, then..
I would love to make him a sprite. :)

Haha! Doing so will allow me to add A lot of character to him and a lot more dealings with Lesalia Laboratories. Thank you for your devotion.

Looks like it'll take long to finish Zefane. :P

based it on ramza, fem. samurai, and male priest.

My try on Marin!
This was a very tough one!

Wow! Awesome sprite for Zefane. I've been mucking around with some Marin ideas too--I'll post it in a bit.

Note: the portrait I've attached is a work in progress and is probably way over the color limit.

Good looking sprite concept. The hair needs a bit more texture on top of his hair. The color might also need a bit touching up.

Looking back at Marin's portrait, I think I need to change the robe color. She kinda looks like a cross between a nun and a funeral mourner...

Make her more mysterious?
Quoteshe is only seen wearing heavy and baggy robes that one would be shocked to find an aged noble lady underneath.

Yes, probably change the robe color to a more respectable\royal color. :)

Purple, perhaps? Or maybe LD has something in mind...

How could I make her look more mysterious though? I could give her the baggier hood, like your Marin had. Or I could place the veil over her eyes--that's certainly strange, right?

Well, if purple, that would make her look like Purple Mystery (which can be found in the custom sprite section). Hmm.. We'll just wait for Sir LD's comment on this. :)

Yeah, after I tested out purple it looked way too much like the Purple Mystery sprite. I'll look through some of the monster portraits to find a nicer color scheme...

Hmm, what of light blue or red for her robes colors? also that sprite looks great! Great work on Zefane! Only thing missing in the sprite noticable is his glasses.

You can see a hint of the frames in the sprite, but to really notice the glasses and know what they are, it will probably take rather large glasses, probably a lot thicker than what the portrait would scale down to.

Yes, and as Asmo said, there's things that won't convert well into sprite form. :)
In this case, Zefane's glasses. I'll still give a try on that.

What Marin Portrait did you prefer, Sir LD?

Oh, nevermind about the glasses then, they are pretty thin, come to think of it, no matter. I would say Mav's Marin is much closer to what I had in mind, though, I'm still wondering if there's a way to still cover more of her features? How does the veil look if raised to right underneath the eyes?

Alright, I tried light blue for now and moved the veil up a bit. It may not look perfect, but I'll fix that in due time.

Keep in mind that this is more than 16 colors.

Well, the seperate sprites to replace the initial evtchr's as shown on page 1 of the topic, the places where the original are, are fitting and simple enough to replace, only a few frames of animation are needed for each, great work with the portraits fellows!
