-------------------------------Yeap. Yet another project from me.
Well, this one should be finished in a couple of weeks due to it's simplicity.I present to you the complete Eggerland / Adventures of Lolo series as a single huge GameMaker project.
Quote from: Design Doc
Concept: Remake the Eggerland series as a single game where each existing game is a chapter in the saga.
Guidelines: Recreate all the features of the existing games with minimal inclusion of original content.
Chapters:
0) Eggerland Episode 0: Quest of Lala
1) Eggerland Mystery
2) Eggerland 2: Labyrinth Myth
3) Eggerland: Revival of Labyrinth
4) Eggerland: Departure to Creation
5) Adventures of Lolo
6) Adventures of Lolo II
7) Lolo's Great Adventure
Characters: Lolo, Lala, Grandpa, Lulu.
Possible Cameos: Waddle Dee, Waddle Doo, Kirby, Prince Fluff, Meta Knight.
Here are pics of the new sprite for Lolo and a screen shot of the test room:
...there were games in this series before Adventures of Lolo? o.o
Seriously though, I don't think I'd heard of anything other that the last three outside of an episode of Chrontendo.
There were 2 for MSX/MSX2, 2 for FDS, 1 for FC, 3 for NES, 1 for GB, and 2 for PC.

Lolo is just like terminally cute. I don't know why. Maybe it's the eyes.
I think Lala trumps him 'cause she has a bow.
Lala's cute is immeasurable. She just breaks cuteometers.
Lol. Yeap, she does. Then there's their son, Lulu.
I'm updating the back walking tiles. They looked a little awkward in motion.
I also made sure the tail is a little bit more defined and made it overlap the feet at it should.
Also, I pretty much got his movement engine down. So it should feel just like the NES games.
I can finally start on the stage objects.
I have a finalized version of Lolo's sprite. I don't think I'll need to do anything more to it.
Is this still happening?
Lolo is one of the best puzzle games ever conceived
This is gonna be awesome
The above poster sums it all up.
Yes! Still being worked on. Just tweaking it some before going on to make the maps.
you are my hero, good sir.
Will this project include PROA-D?
Also, will it be played Eggerland style (roaming room-by-room through a castle), or Lolo style (each level is its own room/floor)?
It'll include every room from every version of every game in the series I can get my hands on.
Basically each game will be a chapter.
I have had trouble getting my hands on these games:
Eggerland Episode 0: Quest of Lala - JP 1996 Windows
Eggerland for Windows 95 - JP 1996 Windows
Revival! Eggerland - JP 2000/2001 Windows
If there are any video playthroughs or anyone knows where I can get these games please feel free to PM me the info.
not the room, the playstyle.
the original Eggerland games has it so that when you went through the door into the next room, you could backtrack to the previous room, so in addition to the standard Eggerland "beat a puzzle, go to next puzzle", it was also a labyrinth that you had to maneuver.
It had things like "boat to the next level", and such as well.
I actually HAVE the one for '95, but it's on my hard drive at home, I'll make sure to send it to you at some point. It included Mirrors (so you could egg Don/Medusae) and the labyrinthian nature that was promonent in Eggerland (but lost in Lolo)
Each chapter will keep the play style of the game it's based on.
Lolo1 (which uses the floor system) is an amalgamation of Eggerland 1&2 (which uses the labyrinth system). same puzzles.
also, I'm attaching the PC one I have - I don't see it breaking any rules, since the licensing on it has been over for a good long while now...
Thanks! That will help me out quite a bit.
I'm already taking the issues with duplicate maps in some games into account and taking maps from alternate versions where possible. The 2 NES Lolo games from Japan for example have mostly different room layouts.
EDIT: started a crowd funding campaign. If anyone is interested please see the first post or check out the link in my sig.
Alpha demo is ready for a test run.

There isn't much to it. Just the movement, but then again that's most of the game's code right there. The rest is fairly quick and easy.
Progress on Eggerland Saga. Not much, but better than nothing.
I want to remake this on the iPhone and iPad.
Care if i use your excellent Lolo sprites?
I'm also excited by this project
Feel free! I can't wait to see what you do with them.
I am still working on this for those that are interested. I've been concentrating on finishing up the system settings that I'm also going to be using for pretty much all of my projects so not much to actually show off. However, I'm nearly done and will get back to the actual stages soon.
