Thanks for all your advice Kagebunji, I appreciate it!  I spent awhile on the portrait and I actually ripped the bandana directly from the original geomancer sprite.  Those hard lines were already there, do you think it would look better without them though?

Those look great!  Much better.  I have switched it out on the images and downloads for both sprites.

I will be using this thread for all the alternate skins I am making.  My goal is to have an alternate skin for each of the generic jobs.  I will post them as I complete them, if people have requests for which job + gender they would like to see re-skinned next let me know.

I will make this my next project.  I am almost done with the "Steampunk-ish" Male Chemist, then I will do the female knight.  I was envisioning more of a griffin style full helm for the Female version.

I thought I used existing colors, but when I went back to my reference sheet it wasn't there.  So I think I will go back and use chocobo as a reference and dull it down a bit.

I am actually working on doing a different skin for every job, male and female.  I'm working on a "steampunk-ish" Chemist right now.

I thought it seemed a little bright at first as well, and originally it was more like the brown cape in the other sprite skin; but after I saw it in game I liked the brighter yellow better.  Thank you for the critique :)

Just created an alternate for the Male Knight.  Top portion of the helmet comes from Gafgarion sprite.  I have attached sprite sheet, UNIT.BIN image and WLDFACE.BIN Image.

Thank you for the critique!

I originally had a neck in the portrait, but based on the color palette I couldn't figure out how to get an acceptable color for it.  I'll see if I can work something out with it, or if you want to modify it please do!

I look forward to your opinion on future sprites!

Thanks for the replies!  Finding this site and modding FFT has renewed my interest in the game.  I've already played it about a dozen times through since it first came out, but now it's like playing a brand new game!

I'm working on some alternate skins for main characters and a Male Knight sprite with a helmet.  I'll post them when I'm through.

Hi there all,

I just recently started modding FFT, and I wanted to show what I have been working on.

This is the first sprite I have done, a "Time Lord" style time mage.  It is a modified Olan sprite with Time Mage skin.  I also thought it would be fun to give the Time Mage a black mage style face with glowing eyes.

I have attached the BMP for Sprite sheet, UNIT.BIN and WLDFACE.BIN.  Also note that if you use for Time Mage sprite that the SHP: and SEQ: are Type 1.

Let me know what you think!
