Had to segregate. . . eye sight very poor. . . but your right the collar part to her left cheek is more than the one on the lancer.

I guess I was blinded by the helmet illusion. . .

uhm. . . we did not change anything there Jimmy. . . ^__^ I just blew up the pics and kept them together to see what Asmo meant since my eyesight is bad. . . Oh but he did make those critical views. . . that is new

reverse side of body armour looks too big on the crouching frame. Also, I fixed up the forward crouching frame.

Now that looks good. . . less cluttered pixels when you made it wider on the collar. . . everything seems to be going as planned. . . cut and pasted into graphics gale the official color count for the Dragoon/Calculator is 26. . .

haha the 26 was on 4 frames . ..  i copied all poses and it went up to 30. . .

Oh wait I think i know why the colours are so high. Jimmy and I didn't really communicate about the palette. Basically, everything armoured is the dragoon helmet palette (except for the darkest colour, which is from the female samurai skirt), and the collar is the same palette as the skirt. For the face, I just used whatever colours were in the forward diagonal.

This has been a lesson learned. If there is more than 1 designer, set palette first

Yeah, that's usually one of the very early things I do after the initial design.
Save a lot of time if the palette is settled early.

And yeah, the rear critical pose's armor is little big. Not much of a problem though. Easy to fix ^^
Oh my...26? Ouch....I guess we should've set the palettes first huh, Asmo? ^^
But anyway, we roughly know which 16 palettes already, its just that, maybe because there's some identical colours like what Asmo said about the darkest colour. So, I think this isn't much of a problem, right Asmo? ^^
As for the face, its from Male Dragoon, I think. I'll try to fix it and post it if my internet connected =.=

Looking great so far. NP guys, every mistake you make with this first community sprite will be beneficial ^^ Make as much as you can!

It's male. IDK much about names because English is my 2nd language, and what I say may sound a little weird... but how about something like: Ancient Dragoon, Horned Knight, Dragon Summoner...
Guess everyone can contribute and we can come up with something fitting :)

My turn to help. . . let this be a lesson to those who automatically change to 16 colors (in Graphics Gale)without fixing and selecting what is appropriate :wink:

A) Most are guilty of this so I showed what it will look like if auto 16 was done on a well thought out concept.

B) New BMP with 19 colors can auto 16 if you want or select the flesh needed (We can now start over from here). . .

C) Color cutting and the total on all frames so far was 30. . . it was to much flesh
