Nothing much I can say about this one that wasn't already mentioned by CT5Holy in the video, though the frogged squire casting Frog was quite amusing.

Round 1: Wow. Just. Wow. Counter Flood RNG is OP.

I think this was just a bad matchup for Otabo.  His low damage/high status would have been more effective I wasn't running low faith/Innocent units.

Low faith units/innocent is one of the weaknesses of the team, yeah. A bad matchup indeed. Also, I dunno why I gave them berserk when they're not properly set up to deal with it should it backfire on them. Like it did with your ninjas. GG.

CT5Holy's Elebreak looks like a strong candidate that could do it.  Otabo's "Target Practice" could also do it I think.

Ele Break might be able to do it. But I know for a fact that Target Practice can't do it. Once the chemist on that team gets berserked, it's all over for them. Not to mention that entire team is immobile. Only team of mine that can beat them is Is 108 Your Lucky Number?.

Phoenix Blade distraction worked on my squire perfectly. Expected, though. Berserking this team doesn't exactly help me, either.

A decent fight, but Doku had more DPS and had higher HP units. That geo does so much damage, too.

Nice of Watery Grave to ignore Aero's paladin. Plus, that chemist is too fast for my units to keep up with his sandbagging. And, Death does indeed suck hard. Not gonna pull the plug on this team quite yet, though. Gonna try to improve them first.

I watched the first maybe....4 or 5 minutes of this one and just stopped watching. A team of squishy mages vs. a speedy, tanky team that uses berserk? Real. Already knew the outcome of these before I even hit play.

This one was pretty good. SS did its job for the most part. Didn't realize the samurai was immune to berserk until halfway through the first match. And nice turnaround in R3 for Reks. GG.

I'm very close to killing off Shroom Squad, but I'm gonna try one last modification to them. Spellstorm also is getting modified; I see what the problem with them is now. And as for Watery Grave, gonna change them a bit too.

Uh, how do I counter that? I could try Counter Magic on my Samurai, but Otabo's team will just run away. The AI likes to prioritize Regen over everything, so my Paladins will get sniped again, unless I give them Abandon to increase their evasion. Still a gamble, though.

Status teams counter Ultimania pretty hard actually. Specifically, Talk Skill and long range status attacks like Arm Aim. Also, small maps counter them too if they're unlucky and either can't get spells off in time or if they're OHKO on the first turn by like speedy ninjas, PA stacked monks, spellgunners or something. As many tests as I've done with Ultimania in the past, status teams wreck them 9/10 times. Berserk, petrify, stop, charm, etc - all of those would wreck them. Other than Heal and Esuna, I didn't set up this team to protect from status, only to power up MA and nuke stuff. Oh, and Counter Magic + magic evasion would probably work against them, too.

Well, bulletproof seemed determined to waltz into SIMP's massive AOE.  Also the Ninja charged forward to get killed while the rest of his team held back.  Not helping were the two missed Raise 2.  However once the Scholar ran out of MP things went to hell in a handbasket very quickly for SIMP.  Kiku really wound up wrecking the gameplan for SIMP.

That, plus the fact that the bard couldn't get that Carbunkle off in time. Knew it was GG once he was midcharged at that point.

It's Mighty Warm In Here?

Actually, any of Spirit Cleansers, Spellstorm, or Step Into My Parlor would be great.

No. No more matches with Battle Bunnies right now. Please. I would rather have some of my other teams in action instead.

Any big changes coming to Deep Dungeon? Like, any special fights or something? :D

Re. Babs Bunny:  She really needs Chakra or Buster Bunny really needs Life Song.  I could see her finding herself in a situation where she's not in range to cure anyone.  Furthermore self Chakra allows her to restore her own MP for quickening.

She'll just use Chakra instead of Quickening when she revives. She's meant to be a distraction, deal damage when she can and die repeatedly, not heal herself or other units. Plus, she has Absorb MP anyway. As for Buster Bunny, I had to play around with his AI and different songs. While he does decently well with Life Song, I ultimately decided that he doesn't need it in the long run. I see your point on giving him Life Song, though - I'm just iffy on giving it to him really. We'll see when this team has faced a few other teams.

About time Spellstorm had some action. Anyway, even though Celdia had some threatening AoE of her own, it just wasn't enough in the long run.

BB overall acted as I expected them to. Priest and Oracle did a good job of staying alive while Oracle kept one of the paladins locked down with Sleep, making it essentially a 1v3. Wish they didn't use Cure 2 on the Monk so much; she's supposed to get killed. But oh well. Also didn't help that Damned didn't have the damage to put down the two mages. Match was sealed when the last paladin got into range of Zombie.

Lancers eventually got fast enough for instant jumps. They had a hard time keeping those oracles down for good, but they got the job done. Witch Hunt didn't do much good overall for either team, and I was hoping for more Slow Dances.

Sorry I haven't been uploading matches myself lately. Main reason is I'm trying to wait for 1.39 to come. Not to mention my mic died and I had to get a new one. Which I did. I'll start uploading matches again when 1.39 comes.

Anywho, Damned or Doku, if you could when you get the chance include a few of my other teams in some matches. Especially Spellstorm and Shroom Squad as they haven't been seen in action at all since they were updated (AFAIK).

As for Mediators, is the AI smart enough to use Solution on the opposing team?  I ask because I never bothered testing it.

AI will definetly use Solution on enemy units if its set up with a non-damaging weapon or if it has no other damage sources. Other than that, I found that it is used very rarely.

QuoteAgain, the only real reason I "split" it is because with Ninja getting Heretic and AI not using Solution (or Preach or, for some reason, Persuade)

Same with Preach; The AI does use it, but barely. But it's a lot harder to get the AI to use it though, unlike with Solution. I have sometimes seen it used sorta like how AI uses Reraise, and on occasion, used when a unit has a decent to high percentage of its HP missing, but overall, the AI is quite weird with Preach and when it decides to use it.

Persuade, on the other hand, I have never seen it used at all in any given situation. With that said, I kinda agree that Persuade desperately needs something done to it or it needs to die entirely. Because that thing is useless.

QuoteAt the very least, splitting Refute apart would make it easier for people to tell just what the hell it's supposed to cancel since pretty much everyone was surprised about the Charging & Performing thing.

I like this idea myself. I would say give the Cancel: Charging/Performing part of Refute to Persuade, but doing that will most likely just make it a worse Throw Stone. Unless it's given a bit of AoE maybe; say AoE 1, Vert 0 or more range than Throw Stone or something.

QuoteI still wonder what would have happened if Sand Storm was procing Berserk instead of Stop still in general since it also came up in TrueLight's fight in this Round against Avalanche....

Probably the same result. Stop or Berserk would've made that wizard nigh useless regardless.

Haha, when I saw the match was only 6 minutes, I thought I won for sure, especially after R1. But Salamander + low HP = problem. gg~

That is exactly how I thought. I was like, "A six minute match - welp, I'm 1-2 now." GG, though.

Hasn't come up in a while but Every dance except witch hunt is currently worthless.  Its either so Innaccurate that you only get a proc 1 out of ever 4 uses or has no useful effect when it does.

Agreed. IMO, Witch Hunt is worthless too, with all the Move-MP Up/Absorb MP/MP Restore running around.

Before I forget, can we please also add an animation for Focus? Is it possible to just give it Accumulate's animation?

Also, if Scholar is leaving, who is getting Tornado and Quake?
