I suppose this will be the final version of the portrait, since I can't think of any more edits to make, unless there is anything that can be pointed out?
You don't mind if I use this, do you MiKe?

Might be me but the shadow of his face seems to be a too high of an angle. It doesn't look good going that close to his chin.
Oh pitiful shadow lost in the darkness, bringing torment and pain to others. Oh damned soul wallowing in your sin, perhaps...it is time to die

I know I've complained about this problem many times before, but I just can't seem to get rid of it, of the 3 custom sprites I've made, all 3 of them have a black line at the top of the portrait in game. I hate to sound like a broken record, but I'm at wits end, I've done everything I can possibly think of the remedy the problem, but nothing seems to work.

Love what you're seeing? https://supportus.ffhacktics.com/ 💜 it's really appreciated

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)
<R999> My target market is not FFT mod players
<Raijinili> remember that? it was awful

they should be 48x32.

SW edge of the portrait must be in 80, 487 (coordinate).
SE = 80+48, 487
NW = 80, 487-32
NE = 80+48, 487-32

Hahaha :)

Thing is, my portrait is within the those coordinates to my knowledge, but it still doesn't show up right in game.

Then if you move a pixel? Does it look perfect?

I like the portrait, it reminds me of me
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y249/G ... C10476.jpg
(Haha, well, maybe its just the glasses)

But, yeah, looks nice, adjust the coordinates by one pixel, then it should all be fine, the sprite looks nice.

Delete the greyish-brown background for in game use.

I tried deleting the background as Kuraudo suggested, it just made the background messed up in game, and the line at the top remained.  However it looks correct when moved one pixel to the right. I just can't stand the fact that it is misaligned.

Well, I guess no choice but to move a pixel because it looks correct in the game.
