Help! / Replacing Bard and Dancer songs?
February 14, 2014, 09:16:59 am
Hiya folks,

So, no idea if this is possible or not. I was hoping to replace the bard and dancer songs with snippets from other games. However, I'm guessing this is hugely complicated since the file types would probably be different? Any help would be most appreciated.

I think this is the spot for this.... Just wanted to give you guys a shout out and say this patch is INCREDIBLE. With all of the changes you guys have made, as well as the continuity you have established, I honestly feel like I am playing a true-blue sequel to the game we all know and love. You. Guys. Rock.

Spam / Re: Skullgirls Needs You!!

Yeah its more along the lines of the fact that they can't really do anything because of the publisher. So, although they did initially only want that amount, they are trying to grow as much as possible. So yeah, I guess not exactly hurting. Its not like theyre a little fish that needs water to survive- more like hoping for donations to give them more fame/ more of a chance to stand out among the big guys. Saying 'need' wasn't the best phrasing choice.

Spam / Skullgirls Needs You!!

Yeah so....

No idea if anybody here is interested in Indie Fighting games, but Skullgirls is one, and its in need of some pretty big help. Financial issues with their publisher being sued (not the Skullgirls devs fault at all) causes their funding to kinda become non existant. As a result, a huge amount of fan support has cropped up. I thought maybe some people here at FFHacktics might be interested in contributing. The swag for contributing is pretty nice too. Additionally, even though there is quite a bit of fanservice, the game is a super sold fighting game, with very little balancing issues (kinda weird for a fighting game, right?). Just a thought. Help! / Re: Are you using a controller for FFT?
February 22, 2013, 09:18:44 pm
Hmm, probably a dumb question, but is the controller already plugged in when you start epsxe? Plugging it in once epsxe is already running causes it to not work.

Spriting / Re: Using Custom Sprites on PSP?
February 16, 2013, 10:09:06 pm
Well, I went in and made sure the Succubus was Type 1. But she still has the wavy arms. Type Two Ignis  works fine tho... Any ideas on what I did? o.o

Oh the sprites can just use the darker pink from the character art. I mean is still alot of pink but... :P

I know everybody's real busy and may not have time, but I would give two arms, three legs, and an elephant for sprites of the lovely Etoile Rosenqueen:

Attached are pics and a sprite sheet from her game.

Edited for Sprites from the sequel, from same age Etoile and her Adult Form.

Thanks!

Alright, thanks! I'll go try and fix the battle sprite immediately. I can probably live with the white line problem. I think I sort of know how to fix it, but unpacking and repacking everything to get to unit.bin take forever. :P And great avatar! So excited for the new Disgaea game coming out.

Spriting / Using Custom Sprites on PSP?
February 15, 2013, 11:19:27 pm
Hi Guys,

I've been searching through the boards for a good while, but I can't seem to find the information I'm looking for. I'm fairly horrible at tech stuff, but I love the work you guys are doing here. Its wonderful to see FF Tactics still gettin' this kind of love. But I can't seem to get accessing this stuff right. I spent around 2 hours or so doing the stuff in this thread: http://ffhacktics.com/smf/index.php?topic=6727.0

But it didnt quite turn out right. I know there are some issues with custom sprites and the Wotl version, which is probably why I'm having issues. I'm trying to use the succubus sprite, but I have two problems now. 1. The battle sprite has ghostly detached arms and casts spells with a mouth stuck up somewhere above her eyes. 2. The map sprite and pre-battle sprite have white lines around them.

I really appreciate the hep, if you guys have the time to do so.

Thanks a million!
