Title: Question for Argg0 about videos...
Post by: Bastard Poetry on October 03, 2007, 02:44:59 am
How do you record them? I had a request from a reader on my War of the Gods challenge to make some videos. In case if it helps to know, I play on ePSXe, and my computer's brand new and capable of technological devastations.

I have a cracked version of Camtasia.

Using that I can record anything in that shows on my screen.

After recording, I throw it on Windows Movie Maker, and re-compress (camtasia compress kinda suck... I've had 700mb on a 5 sec video while doing some tests...).

I hope this help.

I had lots of trouble with the sound part, but after a while it sudently decided to work...

If you need more tecnical help... ask on SDA forum, they know better than me... >_<

You know this guy?

Well, I do. And he has WAY more knowladge and experience with video making than me...

Maybe he can help? Don't know if you still need help...

Also, a tip to record with sound in your work...

Turn off the sound boxes or just remove the plug from the computer. Since it's your sound board that records the sound, as long as the computer volume is on, it will be able to get it.

I did find a solution, and that was to not record sound at all. Later, in Windows Movie Maker, I can add music to it directly. So the other videos I made have Therion or Infected Mushroom playing on them, and the quality is perfect. (Something I consider revenge for all of the videos I've had to suffer someone else's music taste for. Mwah ha ha! Eat that, YouTube). I had never played with Movie Maker before, and I am now completely addicted to it!

As for the game's music, that wasn't even an issue. I have to have the game sound disabled when I play, because I play while I work, and my "calls may be monitored for quality purposes."

You've been a great help, Argg0, and I really appreciate it!
