I'm trying to start my own rpg game but I don't know of a good name.
"Past" was one but I don't like it.
What sort of RPG?
Setting, context, etc.
The RPG has a final fantasy feel (magic, summons, travel the galaxy). The setting is that the planet the main character lives is always at war and only way to survive is to have either money, being a high-ranked officer or some part of royalty.
Try different languages.
Yea I thought about that but does anyone have a good name you think would be good?
Kung Fu: The Legend Continues
How about "Eternal Conflict".
Like "Eternal Conflict". Any more?
Lucid Apostasy
"The adventures of super-secret galaxy-fantasy man: Now with 100% more secret-fantasy-galaxies!"
Ok. Serious now. I hate games that have "cool" names, but have little or nothing to do with the plot. Don't call your game "Event Horizon" if it's about grooming puppies. The final fantasy series is great, but if there is one thing to NOT take away from them, it's their naming convention.
Identify what central theme to the game(you already have) and expand upon that. For instance, your plot seems to resolve around the struggle to gain personal wealth in order to survive, so having a title that expresses that struggle would work. Hell, you can steal a title from one of the FFT chapters("The Meager" or just "Meager")[just examples, not suggestions] and it would at least give some sense of what the story is about.
This is all totally my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.
I'm making an RPG that has an affection/dating mechanic. All using just what is provided by my cracked RPG maker XP. It's name is "Cloud of Despair". If you guys want, I can post a demo once I get it far enough.
I have RPG maker 3 for the PS2 that I have yet to do anything with yet. I got it two years ago.......

rpg maker 3 has good graphics, but the mechanics suck. Rpgmaker two is much better.
Yea but I couldn't find 2 and I got 3 for ten bucks.
EDIT: That's ten bucks brand new at a game stop Christmas sale.
Call it "Dragon Quest 7"
No it has to be original how about Suikoden 6?
I also thought about the name Golden Age
Helbrax you have a point. I might do that.
Quote from: "cade11"I also thought about the name Golden Age
That may be a bit too close to Golden Sun: The Lost Age
Quote from: "darthpaul"How about "Eternal Conflict".
how about eternal shadow omegas revenge darkness incarnate: the reckoning

This.
You can name your game after the setting of the game, the theme of the game, or a distinguishing factor of your characters. All these are tried and true.
Like my ideas for the story deals with magic, monsters, space travel, different dimensions, summons, planets (in particular the sun) , ancient ruins, robots technology.
Aside from the sun not actually being a planet, how about something in reference to the sun like Solstice or Dark Solstice?
Quote from: "Asmo X"Call it "Dragon Quest 7"
Asmo is my favorite person on this site

concurrance
You concur when someone seconds your own idea......isn't there a rule against that?
Quote from: "darthpaul"You concur when someone seconds your own idea......isn't there a rule against that?
I doubt it
It just seems odd to me, because it is almost like seconding your own idea.....which would cause a lot more ideas to appear on polls and what not.

eternal shadow omegas revenge darkness incarnate: the reckoning
Please tell me you know what "Quantum" even means before putting that in a title. Furthermore I wasn't mad he copied it wrong, I was mad he copied.

You say "don't pull a fricken Bungie!" What does this mean?
If you have to ask you'll never know.
I'm thinking of calling it "Endless Journey"

Endless destruction of black hole proportions
The eternal massacre

Undead Argus 3, revenge of werewolves?
Star war III: Backstroke of the West?
Just some ideas...

Seriously, I can only think of four Bungle games: Halo, Marathon, Oni, and Myth. All of these made sense with thier game. What else has Bungle made?
Sigh...look up all of bungie's games.
How about "Beyond Imagination" "Endless Wonder" and "Past"
Endless past beyond Imagination - The wonder.
Go go go.
For an instance, I honestly thought I was in spam
