honestly, here is another thought

I dont know if you played breath of fire 3 more thoroughly but the sprites in the game would go great with these :)

it was one of my favorite games, i was working on a teepo sprite at one point but theres no room to add more characters anyway

oh I see, that sounds really good

editing the way certain spells look is another good idea (a good example is to make blaze, which is like a blue version of fire, kinda like FF6)

i thought of that too, but i dont know where i would use it. also, fire is the most abundant element.

wind has been pretty easy to create a full set of effects for

water and especially earth have proven to be a challenge.

I see what you mean, I have a little bit of basic knowledge editing magic attacks but thats in FF6, Tactics is not my field what so ever sorry ;) (not trying to advertise or anything but just throwing it out there lol :p)

i once made bannons "health" look just like "overcast" tho i was trying to turn it into "Hyper Drive" for Daryl to use as her special but i couldn't find where the targetting was.

yes but "health" is different

you can't edit it directly like you can Shock which appears as "megahit" or something.

health is a recolored "cure 2" but it has its own targetting instructions that had to be modded with a hex editor

oooooo yea thats very true, I completely forgot about certain moves

yeah that being the case its a pain in the ass no joke

I wanted to get rid of sketch cuz well....fuck sketch lmao

but a lot of the game's coding is heavily involved with it which made me unfortunately dead it you know

on the side note I put a sample video on youtube showing some of the things I changed but only very few of my changes are seen in the video

its not the same thing. you can literally make the "health" command use any skill. and you can make it look like any other skill without altering the spell its using. the gfx for it is just a mask of what the skill really is.

its a command that simply uses the spell assigned to it, with no mp cost and its own targetting and grafic assigned. its a one byte assignment

i was mearly playing around with it, in the end i couldnt find the targetting so i chose to make it look like a combination of pearl wind and overcast.

oh wow that sounds pretty interesting

you should check out Lord J's website, he has table files and it should help you locate the targeting part of the spell hex

partial for the wolf esper,little boy, dancer

also full ff6 battle sprite for Edward and Anna ff4
