Help! / Re: Question on this hack
« on: September 05, 2011, 01:42:48 AM »
so basically what your saying is, make a self -cure spell with a moderate charging time so the AI will be more likely to attack that unit on that turn?

Help! / Question on this hack
« on: September 04, 2011, 01:33:35 PM »
(per FF Masters Hacks)

Wall status does nothing and AI attacks units with wall status.

0x124AE2
change 40 to 00
0x137F56
change 80 to 00

This makes the status itself blank, but allows the CT to be used elsewhere, or you can code your own status effect if you really wanted to.

SO, my question is, if i Implement this hack, could I essentially use it as a provoke type of skill where AI is forced to attack one unit if it has wall active? Or am I understanding it wrong? And will the AI still attack other units in range or focus solely on this unit?

Help! / Re: changing color of poison?
« on: August 31, 2011, 10:32:54 AM »
yes that is exactly what i meant eternal. I want to make a "bleed" status effect, or even a "frostbite" status effect making the effect blue. Or if its possible to change an effect like bloodsuck to actually deal damage every turn would be perfect for my "bleed" status effect as well...any suggestions guys? would really improve my patch.

Help! / changing color of poison?
« on: August 25, 2011, 01:26:49 PM »
How would I go about doing this?  Say if i wanted to change the color of a poisoned unit to red instead, to cause a new status, "bleed". Also is it possible to increase the damage every
round to a higher interval, say if poisons at like 10% now can i change it to 15%?

Help! / require weapon question
« on: August 19, 2011, 11:12:34 PM »
i know in patcher you can click on require sword or requires materia  blade, but is there a way to do it with all other weapons? for instance, if i wanted to do a skill like
Bloody Spear - Absorb HP formula - but (Spear) only...is that possible? or ASM hacking only?

Help! / Re: quick axe question
« on: August 18, 2011, 02:47:23 PM »
so lets say i used 2D  Dmg_(PA*(WP+Y)) 100% Status formula....i would technically not get random dmg correct? So i left Y as 0..and added no status effects... the new formula would
basically be PA*WP?? Or am i way off lol

Help! / quick axe question

are axes hardcoded to do random damage? or is it as simple as changing the formula in patcher for it to not do random damage anymore?

is there a simple way to just edit the text dialog going on in events? i really am no good at using the event tools and tutorials help but its just difficult for me. as far as i can see, FFTactext doesnt let you change text in events, is there any other program that does? or if anyone has a easy enough tutorial that could help a noob like me.

A female scholar sprite lurking around anywhere? I know the male sprite is in the collections, but was wondering if there was a female counterpart?

Holy crap! BOF3 ryu! One of my most fondly remembered games! Out of 1,3,4 (the ones I played) easily the favorite.  The gene system for his dragons kicked ass!

agree completely! i loved the gene system to! im trying to use the malboro spores spell ( the one that changes you to a malboro ) and use a dragon sprite instead of a malboro sprite, sort of like a transformation spell for ryu if i can finish this sprite, and if it is even possible to do. keep trying till i come up with something... on another note, i wouldnt mind seeing more BOF3 sprites such as rei or garr FFT style lol
