are the stat caps in this hard or soft? for example, if you raise reis as a holy dragon 1-99 and then change her to a wizard after she becomes a human character, she should have an effective ma of 99 in that class according to the level simulator. will equipment boosts have any affect at that point, or is that as strong as her magic can get?

 (sorry for the late response, just saw this) more specifically, i wanted to make vampire status not take control from the player or restrict commands to bite. (still having trouble with that darn vampire) everything else is pretty much sorted in my patch except the darn vampire. still need to find how to drain ct too. im aware asm is required but have no clue where to look. of course, its possible someone else has done this already.

not sure if this goes here or in help (or someplace else even), but i just had an idea to compile all available asm, spites, tools, and other things in stickies in each section to make it easier for people to find what they are looking for. the way it is now, everything is scattered all over the place and we are in danger of losing valuable contributions. good idea? bad idea?

saying i didn't ask for something isn't the same as saying i'm proud of not asking. the sprites that already exist are plenty for nearly anything, and why would i want to put vastly different character sprites in my patch specifically? i just suggested some that haven't been made that i think would be cool/useful for projects

every time i get close to finishing a project(not just for this game), something happens to my computer and it dies. that should give you an idea of how long a large mod  can take when you have to do everything yourself. it slightly unreasonable to expect every project leader to be able to put together a working beta alone. depending on the project, that could take years, especially for people who aren't skilled in every area.

hex editing isn't exactly a walk in the park either, even 'experts' mess up. that's what debug is for. if you only know how to patcher, you are really only qualified to help with gruntwork anyone can do or testing. totally agree

who said i was proud of it. and i was just suggesting sprites i think would be cool, the only one that would be useful for my patch is the vampire one, but alucard works well enough for that.
