Help! / EVTCHR editing problem

Been looking for tutorials wasn't able to find anything related to my problem.
trying to change around EVTCHR event sprites for my new sprites going to get into event editing a little later for now this is fine.
few things, cant find the battle.bin file just a battle folder in cdmage

2nd whenever I look at the EVTCHR file on shishi the palettes are all garbled or colors totally changed around.. princess's cape is blue in file but red in game for example.

3rd I read somewhere in forums that you need to redraw each dude for each frame when doing this is that true? I cant just copy paste or anything? or do I have that completely wrong.

If I need the other event editing programs that's fine, if theres a event editing program that goes hand in hand with EVTCHR editor please let me know.. was going to get into other event editing stuff later, I learn a chunk at a time not all at once type of thing.

Was playing around with my new sprite.. maybe at least the hood could be used for the head of a wraith or something.. did something funny haha maybe it could be used as a mob or something.. or u could use it as a template to paste whatever face or helm over my current dudes face anyway here it is!

My first fully completed sprite!!! even did a portrait! excited! haha still tweakin somethings here and there but should be totally good to go!
Also have his formation pic, feel free to use it or not.. blood at the end of the blade only had a couple red colors to work with so its not crazy detailed.
Still tweakin portrait a bit also

only took me a day and a half! YUS!!

Credit- whoever made the AVcloud full 10.5 used the body and arms.
           Rogue 2.0 used the head
           and used the boots from orlandu so whatever pro made his original
          Portrait-
           Got the mask from Vincent portrait
           hood from hooded gafgarion
           rest of body and face are the npc squire rogue

yeah you could always use the FFTpatcher to edit it.. I know this is gona sound tedious but it is what it is.. u could edit each axe and click on the slow checkbox that way each axe will automatically have slow attatched.. and then yeah change its formulae so its not random dmg and more hard hitting that's what I would do.. if u don't know how to ASM then asking somone would either never happen or itd take a really long time because their busy and have lives and stuff..

yeah the reason I wanted it was to replace luso, bailtheir, with other characters of my own without replacing anyone else and the same for onion and dark knight my hope was to not have to change less popular jobs for jobs I'm working on.. like replacing mime etc that way I could just get rid of onion and dark knight... don't know how to fully add a whole other job slot or anything so I'm stuck wit replacing..

the last time I was modding on my old computer.. I could have sworn that there was a FFT version for psx that u guys made that included the original dark knight job, sprite, abilities etc.. am I just remembering incorrectly? or was that actually a thing?.. seriously could've sworn I was modding with a PSX WOTL version.. or at least a PSX version that had onion knight, dark knight, the other characters like luso etc.. am I seriously crazy? haha

because I wouldt even know how to begin to go about actually ADDING a brand new class wether its one already made.. all I know how to do is replace a class that's already there.. I'm sure I can figure it out I just hope I don't have too yet

I tried the FFT complete completed patch, it literally did nothing.. downloaded it, did the PPF o matic applied it correctly.. even said it was fully applied.. I tested it out nothing.. looking around online for a version I can use but I'm not finding one for some reason.

yeah I noticed that about shishi, but I like to sometimes add custom formation sprites like this

yeah rfh that's what I was looking for when I posted this origionally had no idea that a section like that existed
I actually found the area where u get them added to the main sites sprite location, its under site submission theres an area there for sprites to be added.. had no idea haha but yeah was getting tired of going post to post to post for sprites theres a lot of seriously cool ones out there they just haven't been added to the site submission spot..

ah well guess I'm doomed to search for them *cry*

Hey, getting restarted going threw the forums looking at other peoples sprites using them to play around with in game or for inspiration.. then I had a thought or a hope rather.. I don't know who handles that official sprite section on the main website but I was hoping that someone could compile all the posted sprites and put them in 1 location on forum or add the more recent ones to the main site sprite location idk if this has been talked about or what but it would be a GREAT help.
if there is already a place like this and I'm just SOOPER DUM please let me know

I realize that's a lot of work I would be glad to help do some grunt work tracking them down if need be.

was hoping to get an experienced players help with ASM and event modding.. ive been reading the tutorials a bit they are helpful but you know everyone learns differently I just sort of learn hands on is all so if anyone can help thatd be greatly appreciated.. I learn really fast

was needing some help with sprites and asm, but I have most of the sprite stuff figured out.. having some problems with the palettes, changed pallete #3 to pallete #1 on the guardian sprite from the main website and it made the helmet and other pieces all brown, so I changed all of the lines to the #3 pallete it fixed the problem but now theres only 1 color so its like zomg how did I fix this before? I know I did I just don't REMEMBER haha

I'm modding fft for the psx and using a playstation emulator..

have most of everything I think I need far as modding programs go

Yes I see your point on a lot of it.. generally speaking it didt need to be an EXACT copy of chess.. it could be done a thousand different ways, don't need to take everything so literal.. I'm sorry you don't like the idea.. I was thinking of the WoW chess game you play in this one dugeon or raid cant remember which one it was.. anyway it was a lot of fun the way that they put that together.. yes I realize that its TOTALLY different, just brought it up cause I thought it could be cool to have a FFT chess variation.. ill bounce some more ideas about something else later I guess thanks for the feedback..

Well you could use FFT, if you think about it.. you could use the tutorial map as the board for example.. put squires for pawns give everyone 1hp and 1 move depending on the piece.. I know knights move L shaped.. and bishops are diagonal and thatd be just a total bitch to workout so u could just make them ranged or something with 1 - 3 attack square range.. that sort of thing... you could even make it your own way.. add a couple spells like a light vs dark thing.. kings could get haste and protection buff for units within X amount of range.. make it more interesting or just make it totally generic and basic, 1 hp per unit and diff movement things based on the orig pieces for chess.. was just throwing an idea out there

its like I said in my orig post, was just thinking out loud is all.. unless that sort of thing isn't encouraged here

It might be a terrible idea because FFT is already a form of advanced chess.. but was just thinking the other day.. maybe a chess version could be cool.. squires for pawns.. idk haven't put a TON of thought into it but I thought it could be cool, just thinking out loud here

Hey ive been looking arouind for some new weapon files to use for future projects.. came across a couple for ingame inventory pictures and WEP1 files from similar games..

just using these for ideas for future projects or to just copy paste thanks guys
Cant remember whos WEP1 edit that is, its not mine that's for sure.. it has a scythe instead of mace, a upgraded cool lookin axe.. and some other weapons

This samurai isn't my design, I would like to give credit where its due but I completely forgot who I borrowed this from.. ill look it up and correct it giving proper credit where its due when I have more time.

Was playing around with a idea I had a few days ago.. please do tell me what you think.. thank you
-Had some problems with the helmet, the colors making it white instead of grey.. and making it closed I haven't been able to totally fine tune it this is just like mark 1 or phase 1 or whatever you guys call it.. enjoy!

Hey loving the game so far its ALOT of fun.. really enjoying the battle after battle + loot chests you have going on.. really loving that.. didt know where else to post about bugs I started with the chapter 3 download.. so far all of chapter 1 totally bug free but then I get into chapter 2 we get threw the scene at the bar where lysay hires two assassins to kill that one dude forget his name that wronged her then after that it goes to a picture of a town then freezes like that.. just stays on the picture of the town playing music, sat there watching TV for 34mins and it still did nothing.. tried restarting the game and going back thinking maybe my save was bugged but it still did nothing.. any suggestions? really want to play chapters 2 and 3
