Ok maybe that was a dumb question...

What i should have asked is if anyone knew of a character used less in battle than Kletian?

I cannot completely confirm this, but in the sprite program there is a list for...

39 Celia (Never Used)
3A Lede (Never Used)

You can try altering those ones maybe? I have tried and made a character in the same fashion; just not sure if those slots are really not used later in the game or not. xP

That should free up two spots without replacing anything in game - in theory.

Other than that I don't know. Still new to all this. xP

Arc Duke (Bariten)
Arc Witch (Balmafula)
Whatever Simon and Funeral are

have absolutely no in-battle time, so those classes can be modified with stats/skillset/etc and have no ripple effect.  However, their sprites are battle-incomplete, which would prompt some sprite shuffling so the fights you use them for are a bit cleaner, and then the cutscenes featuring them still in fact have them.  The latter however is more if you want your work to go beyond a fun little character that you're playing with.  Hell, you can get by with an incomplete sprite too if it all stays in your hands.  It's your game.

Patcher v457.  On the front page of this website, under downloads, there's a link.  This links to a topic in the hacking and tools forum by sentinal blade.   This should fix both the tactext and ENTD problems.

Quote from: "Jon"1. First open up the FFTactext. Click ISO and Import PSX ISO.

I'm guessing this guide won't work in the same way with PSP isos.

I use Tactext on my PSP ISO all the time. There's an option in the menu bar of the program that refers exclusively to PSP ISOs.

Or, you could expand your ISO, and in doing such, that gives you roughly 10-20 sprites to replace without touching any of the normal sprites at all.

Quote from: "MiKeMiTchi"Rad is considered as a name, and is a generic. Therefore can use all generic job sprites, he doesn't have a custom\own sprite..

In FFTPatcher there's a 7F Rad sprite set. What does -this- one do?

7F is the female Ninja sprite set. For some odd reason the name list is shared with the sprite set list, but sure enough they both function very differently under the ENTD tab in FFTPatcher.

If you want just to change Rad to whatever, it can be done. It is more or less the same for the first generic unit in 188 under ENTD. However, you must change Rad's icon in 2 places, or more...I know you have to change the icon in the opening scene and also the 1st battle and then also when Chapter 2 starts...sorry I can't help that much more on this...

Does it only work for '123 Dish'? I tried to make another, using 124 Fukes and it wouldn't work.  :(

*Edit*

Nevermind, I solved my problem. I had to..re-upload another FFT iso..

I believe that you have to first do everything in FFTacText before FFTPatcher...not 100% sure on that though, but my results come out better when I do it in that order.

Yes yes, I think he means he got some other unit to appear. Okay people, I am gonna make real soon a tutorial how to replace a unit 100%, that means in the menus too. Right now you can only get your custom to appear in battle, and the rest should be weird. Well at least according to this guide.

Hello everyone, I am having a serious problem trying to create a special character....this is how I want to create him and any help doing it would be appreciated:
Name : Thor / Job : Asgardian / Weapon ( I want to modify a regular axe so the name is Mjolnir  and it's a rare weapon ) I also want to change the animation on the abilities so the character is holding the axe instead of holding his hands up.  Also any info on making a special character from scratch ( not pasting over another one ) would be much appreciated. thanks alot
