Mod Save file with custom sprites from this site?

I plan on getting to the PSN-PS1 version of FFT for my PSP. Can I just have a save file custom made with a particular sprite from this site? Say for instance...the Zack Fair sprite. Can I just have a save made with his sprite as one of the characters, or do i have to go through modding the whole game (which i don't know is possible on the PSN version)?

And if I can just put the Zack fair sprite and potrait on a save game...how do i do it?

You'd have to modify the game file itself, I don't believe it's possible with the PSN version.
