New storyline possible eventually?

I've looked at all this stuff and while I don't know how to work any of it yet (any help would be thanked many times), with the ENTD event editor thing and with that text one (haven't looked into it yet so not sure), a person with real determination and time on their hands could eventually rewrite the tactics story for their own.  Again I don't know any of this cause I'm just now starting to hack my tactics on my PSX but... well you get my point here.

LastingDawn I think is essentially doing that with his Mercenaries Patch, check it out in 'New Projects' I think.

Yeah, you want to use the Text Editor for that. But its not exactly easy. Quite a few people have success though. I plan on messing with it more.

I personally would love to see this game become hackable enough that we can just strip it right down to it's bare engine and rebuild it/ expand it right back up so we can do as we please but I'm guessing thats not gonna happen anytime soon. seems that no one can add content onto the game. it all has to be replaced and balanced to fit the original.

Yeah Mercenaries being worked on by LD will be epic.

While it's going to take alot of time & resources to finish, it will be worth it.

I believe it's the first new-storyline patch we're gonna see on this sitr.

i keep forgetting to post a question like this but... is it possible to add in more of those pre battle choices like when you choose to save algus or not to....

but with more drastic effects... like after the battle taking a different route,
or getting different sets of story characters to join...

i kinda want to make it like tactics ogre where you can get A and B paths
