I used to think to myself "What FFT could use is a piece of art for every important scene in the game", then I came back to reality, shook my head, and said "it will never happen..." then I stumbled across this site...

http://aspara.cside21.com/FFT/FFT-menu.htm

Chapter 1 - The Meager

Chapter 2 - The Manipulator and the Subservient

Chapter 3 - The Valiant

Chapter 4 - Somebody to Love Part 1

Chapter 4 - Somebody to Love Finale

The art he makes is beautiful and absolutely fitting (also the only known fanart of Death Knight Argath, which hi picture manages to show as a pretty emotional scene)

This man (or woman or group...?) has made an absolutely gourgeous picture for most of every important scene in the game, with a very oekaki style to them all, (there are a few just for fun pictures scattered about made in a superchibi style)

but the effect is beautiful, it literally tells the story of FFT WoTL in pictures, and I would suggest any true fan of FFT, to at least take a glance through. I'm sure there's something in there for everyone, even some very difficult to find art for characters (I'm looking at you Barinten...)

And what FFT story would be complete without...

As well for those who don't plan to check it out, there is a beautiful .swf of the this fellow's interpretation of the ending...

This is a true masterpiece, if you see any of this man's work please click on the link above this.

sadness can be turned to delight.

Their rendition of Rapha is quite unlike how I pictured her from the game graphics, but I really like that concept.  I think my favorite image is Ramza telling Worker 8 to beat up Mustadio.  The look on his face is awesome.

Those are amazing. Very well done. Perhaps the best group of FFT artwork that I can recall. I loved it, thanks for the links!

I have never wished to read Japanese so hard in my life. These are very nice, and I would like to know the methods he used to make them. I have my guesses but one can never be too sure.

I am very fond of texturing through brush strokes. It adds a flow to it that you don't see in FFT art that often.

@LD: Though I say he as you did I think this is a collaboration as while the art style is consistently FFT, there are inconsistency from one to the next. They are minor in hand and head detail, but they are enough to be noticeable. Thank you for posting this.
Oh pitiful shadow lost in the darkness, bringing torment and pain to others. Oh damned soul wallowing in your sin, perhaps...it is time to die

Hrm, yes, these are very nice. The only character design I thought was a little off was Meliadoul's, but other than that, spot on.

I agree with DP, as the styles in some images differ.

I really, really like FFT artwork that has the characters with realistic proportions.

and the guy by the sword?

Wiegraf and Loffrey, from a scene exclusive to War of the Lions at Lenalia, where Wiegraf mourns Milluda and Loffrey recruits Wiegraf into the Knight's Templar.
