It depends on what you want, both of those options means that the level will be around the party level. Party Level Random just means that it will randomly modify the Party Level number by some small number like +2, +1, 0.

Yeah, unfortunately there isn't really a better way right now that I know of. It can be tedious but at least you only have to go through it all once! (Remember to save!)

Make sure that on the item that you want to add this attribute to (select the specific item in the Items tab), you go to the box marked Item Attributes and you put the correct number there. 0 is the default, with no attributes, the one you've modified is 01. Keep in mind the Item Attribute number is not the same as the Item number, so modifying 01 for Item Attributes does not automatically change the Item at the 01 index.

The event is trying to load too many sprites. The limit is 9, but since 5 are taken up by the party there can only be a certain number of unique enemy sprites.
In Vanilla:
Ramza, Delita, 3 party members, Algus, Zalbag, Female Black Mage, Male Knight is 9.

Download the Item Workbook Compilation, the Weapon Battle Sprites and Palette tab is what you're looking for!

If you're looking to change all of a weapon to another, it might be faster for you to edit those sprites in ShiShi.

If EVSP detects 'Incomplete Or Invalid Event Instruction On Line x' it won't let you save the file at all. It should stop you from compiling but not saving :P

Yeah, sorry, now that I'm in uni I'm a touch too busy for something like that :P Events such as these where it's basically people standing around and talking before a battle starts are pretty easy to put together though! You'd be surprised :)

It sounds like you have the wrong tool selected then? Instead of the magnifying glass get the selection tool.

but for people who are alternating between this program for editing most things and Xifanie's editor for managing squadron layouts, saving directly to .OUT will probably be a huge time save.

It sounds like you might have started out with a corrupted ISO file. If you want to check to see if these hacks are actually the issue you should get a new ISO file, test it out vanilla to make sure it's fine, then add each hack one by one and test every time to make sure everything is fine.

Unless one of these hacks overwrites another and that causes issues, but it doesn't sound like any of these should be having an effect like that.

For anyone interested about how the sizing looks, that's some regular goblins next to some small green goblins (10/16 size, +75 green) with some larger goblins on the right (24/16, which might be a bit much :P)

Also the graphics that display with the unit (such as EXP gain or damage) also scale with the size, so with tiny monsters, expect tiny numbers :P

Well, I tested it out and I got some super weird stuff to happen, so that was pretty cool!


I'm still a little confused as to what goes in the ENTD tab (I feel like I'm missing something that should be pretty obvious), is ??? supposed to be the ID of my snowflake? (if that's the technical term :P) The two boxes after that, FFTPatcher only goes up to FF in those areas so you can't quite type in 169 or 16B, but different combinations in those areas gave me some interesting results :P

Sorry if I'm just missing something obvious. It has been a while for me since I last used one of your amazing spreadsheet hacks.
