Final Fantasy Hacktics

I'm absolutely loving doing personal challenges in this! It really feels like the "what if the devs had more time" mod and its great.

Edit: Quick question if you see this -- do you think using FFTastic just to modify some abilities (i.e. skip grinding) would mess things up? Not doing level up/down or anything else. I tried it already and everything SEEMS the same, but I was wondering if it isn't subtly changing the game back to the vanilla version in some way by doing that.

I'm interested in playing this, but I can't get it working in RetroArch. It freezes before the opening Orbonne scene at the 'Orbonne Monastery' text.

I'm using the Beetle HW core. I tried turning off/down extra options like internal resolution, CPU overclock, PGXP, etc and using Software Rendering but it always freezes at that same spot.

Great patch! Would you happen to know if such a thing is possible with Breath of Fire 3? I think one of the main things holding back its speedrunning potential is how deathly long the text speed is (even when set to "fast").

I have a problem with this mod. I've enjoyed it very much but now that I'm in Chapter 4 I tried starting the sidequest. I couldn't get the flower girl to appear in Warjilis (unless she already did before and I forgot) but when I try to go to Goug it fades to black like a story sequence is going to start but it just flashes "Now loading" forever.

Anyone else had this problem?

Edit: Forgot to mention I'm using pSX v1.13 as my emulator

pSX comes with everything you need to just double click it, open an ISO (or BIN or whatever you have) and play, I believe.

After 5 hours of trying every emulator and plugin combination in existence I come to you all a beaten and broken man. Is there some magic combination that works? Either Windows 7 or Mac (but pref Windows).

Edit: Also I wanted to add that I'm not even trying to get the hacked version to work, just the regular version!
