Use of ePSXe before 2.0 is highly discouraged. Mednafen/RetroArch is recommended for playing/testing, pSX is recommended for debugging.

Nope. Last time I spoke with him, he told me the project is dead/finished now.

I'm pretty new to FFT mods. I've been playing vanilla/WotL since vanilla was new on PS1 though, and was pretty excited when I found out about these patches that change the game. I have a big appreciation for what it takes to do this kind of programming, and come up with new ideas for story line. First I tried FFT+, then 1.3 content, then JotF.

I'm only a few battles in, Zirekele Falls, and it's tough but seems very good. I have one question though: did you nerf hit percent, or was it always this bad? I don't remember it being as bad on vanilla or WotL as it has been on the three mods I've tried. It doesn't seem to matter what my hit percent is, if it's under 100% I will miss and miss and miss and miss and miss, to the point that I genuinely can't win a battle because of it. I actually shut down the game right now to post this after missing 12 in a row of 85% or higher. How did this game break math? 85%, that's pretty simple. 3 out of 20 should miss. Not 12 out of 12. On the flip side, the enemy seems to be able to hit no matter how low their hit %.  I know I only gave an example of one battle, but this has been the norm across the three mods, and is why I stopped with the other two. Is this something done on purpose? This one thing really takes the fun out of it. I don't really like hoping for random strokes of luck to win EVERY battle, I like to win with a good strategy. But I don't think strategy can overcome this.

Sounds like a emulator issue or something. Hit % is correct to the number displayed, in Jot5

Help! / Re: Help! Shishi editor not updating sprite!
« on: June 06, 2018, 05:14:55 AM »
Well you have to be doing something wrong if you tried a fresh iso and a fresh shishi. As neither of those would have access to the old file, unless you are linux and simlinked them or something, but i kinda doubt that.

Maybe put the would be sprite into palette editor, and see what happens?

Indeed we are still working on things. Im currently working out some scripts and flow for chapters 3 and 4. We are at a snag on the rerelease of ch1 and ch2 release, which is why you havent seen a release as of yet.

However that doesnt mean we arent still pushing where we can on other parts of the mod.

We do not host or allow sharing of image files here. We have tutorials on how to rip your own disc. Which is what you should be doing anyway, as many of us have.

Why do you specifically want a .ISO image? Thats just one  format that PS1 games come in, there is nothing wrong with using a .BIN format. Ive used all 3, but currently stick to the .IMG format that i ripped from my own disc. It all works the same when it comes to patching and playing (some emulators may be finicky when it comes to .cue files often associated with .bin format) unless you got a bad rip.

Very easy fix. You should know that by now :P

Yes, these mods take a lot of time and we have to take breaks from time to time to work on other things.

We had someone working on the gathering marks but they disappeared. Those are basically our biggest hurdle right now and they are such a pain no one seems to want to do them lol.

The project will go on as always, working on chapter 3 and 4 stuff, but until the gathering marks are done, there isnt much we can do for thr re-release of chapter 1 as well as chapter 2 just yet.

Why post this in 2 different threads?

Im glad this didnt come out. Looks like FFTA to me... this wasnt even the only concept they had. They had also planned to make FFT2 in a more futuristic setting once upon a time as well.

Youve provided zero information on what mod you are using, hacks you may have applied or changes youve made to the image...

This isnt GameFAQs... and no one is going to bother trying to help without the proper info, as this is not a vanilla bug

New Project Ideas / Re: Sugnuf's Translation Patch?

You might be discouraged by poll results as we are a very small community.

Personally, i grewup with the psx translation and i love it, every derp is what feels right to me. The translation you speak of just felt a bit contrived at times, to me, and a bit too serious. Its been 5 or 6 years, so id have to read it again to know what actually put me off on it.

If this is something you are serious about doing, then you need to realize that you will be editing every single existing event script, i hope you are prepared for something like that lol

Muito obrigado, estou feliz que você goste do meu patch. infelizmente estou longe de casa e não tenho os dados do jogo, já que não tenho acesso ao meu computador pessoal. Eu colocarei a árvore de trabalho o mais breve possível.

(Thank you so much, im glad you are liking my patch. unfortunately im currently away from home and i don't have access to my personal computer and the game data. I will post the job tree for you as soon as i get the chance)
i don't mind it. my main language is spanish so i can understand some portuguese. He was expressing gratitude for the game (and thats always welcome) and asked for the job tree :p

Which is fine, but per the rules hes still required to put an english version of his post alongside an foreign language as we are an english only forum
