FF's Last Boss: My Experience

This was my experiences during the last parts of Final Fantasy. It's my first time playing this game! I feel like sharing it. I hope you enjoy!

My first encounter with Chaos/Garland wasn't so pleasant... Slain, slain, slain, slain... Perished.

So I said, I'll just face Chaos when the Light Warriors reach higher levels (Level 60 TANKS). This time we definitely won't fail!

So I leveled and leveled, back and forth in the Temple of Fiends. Again and again and again, so much that the Temple felt like home already.

It was another day of grinding again. I thought it was just going to be another day at the office, but little did I know...

My units were at Level 40s. On the first parts, grinding as usual. Passed through Lich, then here comes my grinding floor. Agamas for breakfast! But for some reason, I kept moving onward. Part of myself wants to push ahead. I could cast Exit anytime, but I didn't. I moved along, destroyed Kary. Went through those Water enemies, then... Then shit just got real...

Kraken! I know about your One shot hits! Quick! Cast Fog2! Everybody else fight!

Kraken got the first move. He had four targets he can hit, and the one he killed? My Red Wizard. Kraken wasn't the problem, he's defeatable. The problem is the horrible fact that my Red Wizard, the only one in the group who knew Life and Exit, was dead. At that point, there was no turning back anymore. You either reset the game... Or push forward.

The moment I went beyond my grinding floor (comfort zone), my mind was already made up. I'm gonna defeat Chaos! And that's what we're gonna do, push forward!

Three warriors remain, Tiamat was still in the way. Just one more Fiend then it's Chaos.

Tiamat's defeat came with a price, the death of my Ninja. He wasn't lucky to live through that Bane that was cast on him. It was becoming very discouraging already. I mean, who would face the final boss with only half of your units intact? I see the final staircase leading to Chaos. I still went for it. Despite the losses, what my mind was saying was, "Why the hell shoudn't we try?"

It was up to my Knight and Black Wizard now. It's a one way trip to "Perished" right?

Only one way to find out...

BATTLE!

We fought with what we have left: The Knight Fights! And the Wizard Nukes! For some reason we could manage, but it was still uncertain how the battle will end.

Chaos casts his Cur4. I knew he would do that. Let's hope he only does that once.

He kills my Wizard at one point. All my hopes are on the Knight now. Despite the Invs(an evasion-up magic) I cast earlier, Chaos' attacks are still pounding through.

But the fight's not over! My Knight is wielding the Excalibur. Even though he's the only one left, it felt like he had the strength of Four Men. Also I don't know why he's immune to Petrify and Instant KOs, is it the Shield preventing that? I don't know. But at least I know for sure that the only way you're taking down this Knight is zeroing his HP, conventionally. All those traits and the fair share of critical hits he deals gives me hope.

The only action I could do was "FIGHT". With the Absence of High Cure Spells there's really no point in healing anymore. The only thing left to do was to, "bring Chaos down first".

HP damages were exchanged. While Chaos shows no sign of faltering despite all the damage I've done, my Knight was already at it's last legs. The last Inferno Spell he cast brought me to my last pint of health. I was down to my last turn. There was really nothing left to do, but fight! Before I pressed "FIGHT", I said, "My last breath". Then the knight went for it. He got the first move...

<Terminated>

Woah! I did it, despite all the hurdles thrown in the way, starting the boss fight with only two units, I finally killed Chaos in a way I never imagined. I still can't absorb what just happened.

What a victory that was! And it all became possible only because I pushed forward and took the chance. Because I'm the type of person who says, "It's not over until it's zero".

Ha, and the epilogue said that the deeds of the Light Warriors would remain unknown because it was from the past. Not with my Light Warriors! I brought their story to light!

I think this is now my longest post. Anyway thanks so much for reading my story! I hope you guys reached it this far :p

P.S I can't believe I ignored this game my whole life. It's so much fun! Very soon I'll be playing FFII next...
