Help! / Re: how to change hero names
« on: February 06, 2019, 09:58:06 PM »
Shishi for sprites, tactext for names. They are pretty self explanatory once you play around with them. The Text Helper by Xif helps a lot in conjunction with tactext as well.

As for making your own storyline, if you are a complete newb then you should spend some time going thru tutorials and the eventing tutorial. Journey of the 5 was made by many people aside from myself, who all knew what we were doing and even still its YEARS worth of work
You esentially need to learn a new language for eventing, and its not hard but very very time consuming.

under file, or options, there should be the option to restructure.

That or acquire the used in creating the mod, from the mod creator, those you may not be able to get some of those, like from JoT5. The author of that mod is prettt strict about not giving out the resources.

I got bored, heehee

Perhaps it breaks the cohesion a bit with vanilla ports, but i prefer the overall size of the face in this version along with the expression. Its not quite as cleaned up as your later versions but the general look of it is good.

Portrait is probably your best one thus far. Mouth needs a tad more definition, but aside from that it looks good. I like it more than the Seifer, primarily because i felt that older versions of your seifer port were better than newer ones, but thats just me. No offense meant, Im just brutally honest.

Do you have the ability to see the palette turned on? Should be in the view option up top, iirc

Not really. You can overwrite the guest slots to use those 4, but itll be buggy. That will give you 20 slots. Thats it

It is done, but the additions are not, nor are all the random battles, but the events are done, aside from the second bit from the finale battle.

You need to edit it in every place it appears in tactext. And as far as scenes/events go. Youd have to replace his name in the event texts and recompile the events as well.

Beta still coming soon. Within the next week or two for sure. I had some setbacks that had to take priority over my initial testing, but we arent off track just yet, only slowed down due to stormy weather ;)

It's fine where it is.

That was easy

Just use something like agentransack to search for that variable in the event folder of EVSP. Youll easily be able to find any point where the story progression is hit. Its only done in events.

006E is story progression

It looks a little too small, IMO. Most FFT sprites peek over the top of the frame a bit, and the necks are also longer. The hair could also maaaaybe stand to be a few pixels taller?

I was about to post the same thing

So due to the site being down for several days, as well as me being sick as hell due to the weather change here, i havent put this together yet. But it should be within the next week or so. Ive gotten 2 PMs from testers so far, so we should be good to go as soon as i put it all together
