Title: FFT Arena Stream day

So, I'd like to have a few days during the summer where I stream FFT Arena! Most likely, there will be matches with commentary, where you guys send in teams and request matches and etc live. Another idea I had was for all of us to essentially build a team together! And we can talk through our decisions on equips and abilities and themes maybe and all that fun stuff.
I'm not too sure how many opportunities I'll have to stream though, due to work and/or housing situation. Work for me prob won't start till June, so I'm thinking of having at least one of these stream days (well, it obviously won't be a whole day, but for as long as there is interest, I suppose) in the next week. I'm thinking of having the first one be on May 21, Wednesday, 4 PM Pacific Time (GMT -7).

Are there any specific days and times of the week people prefer? Sundays usually won't work for me, as an fyi.

That sounds like an excellent idea. The streams I did back when I had home internet seem to really help out and entertain. If only I was able to figure out how to play sound without that nasty feedback loop...

Also, there will probably be some echo unless I figure mic stuff out (but I probably won't cause lazy! maybe someone can help while the stream is going or something? /shrug).

I do have a skype, give me your skype name and I will friend request you. If I have work next wednesday then I will be around another day. I usually work weekend mornings 7am to 3pm though

I have skype, and I am fairly accustomed to it. I can help out in some way. What's your plan on how to stream this? I know if we make a big skype group call, you can share screens and then all of us will be able to hear you and see the match as it plays on your screen.

The stream will be up a few minutes before designated start to time so Barren and I can hopefully get duo commentary going (with some troubleshooting time thrown in). I think my stream has a bit of delay between 'real time' for me and what you guys see on stream (if that makes any sense), so for communication purposes, let's use the FFH IRC channel instead of twitch stream chat? or does anyone have a better idea?

Skype chat screen sharing. but that's the only other thing I can think of. that goes directly through skype, and not through a browser, so it could be better? maybe. I'm not 100% on that.

I know me and CT5holy would have have some kind of video chat with microphone working and everything. I did do it before with Mando but that was like 3 years ago. Hopefully it can be all figured out soon

Team Speak is better than skype for voice chat because it picks up less background noise, but it has no video. Soyou could use it alongside your video stream to talk amongst yourselves, and/or bring the viewers into chat.

Tentative date for next stream day is next wednesday, May 28th, at 4 pm PST (so, basically the same time).

The stream went really well. Some very competitive matches and fun was had by all. I definitely want to see another Barren vs CT5Holy dual cast match. That squire with ninjitsu and faith vs the derpy samurai. Good times.

I haven't been around this week because of me getting a new job and hoping that drug test results allow me to actually to work at best buy due to their policy and been taking care of my mom also who broke her wrist but after this weekend if anyone wants to see their season 3 teams tested I can do one for Tuesday at 7pm EST

Barren's luck is terrible, getting all self procs.
And for those who were wondering, Hi Potion heals more than X Potion if the unit is over 325 HP now. I did this change because the average HP has gone up overall compared to when Arena started.

After looking up some guides and tips on open broadcast software I'm going to at some point test it again but when I do I would need at least one volunteer to help me determine the correct settings next time I stream for real

Thinking of having a stream day next week? Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons typically work best for me. I'd probably start around 4 pm PST (7 pm EST, 23:00 UTC). Which of those days work best for people?
Also might occasionally stream me making teams and/or analyzing teams and matches. These would be great times for others to pitch in their knowledge cause my game sense is outdated!

I'd love to participate in a stream. I can watch during that time on any day, although friday afternoons would be the best for me since I don't have to get up at 6:00 AM the next morning. Is this on Twitch or a different site? I have a Twitch channel that I use regularly.

If you haven't participated in these, these are a blast. It's kind of like when you see a marathon running of your absolute favorite show in the world. It doesn't really matter that you might have seen them all. You still watch and get crazy excited anyway. But it's even better than that because you haven't seen them all!! (Stop redirected onto his own ally? Anyone remember that?)
Anyway, the best nights for me are Tuesday and Thursday nights (I see dw6561 posted exactly the opposite and I'm sorry, but alas, I am busy usually on Friday nights so I'm just posting my availability and we'll see what happens.)

I'm flexible, but the 8:00 AM engineering class is the bane of my existence. I could only really watch for a couple of hours on tuesday/thursday.
Also, I can stream FFT Arena too? I was worried I'd actually have to ask permission because I'm not really sure if others would watch or if people would be ok with me showing their teams to random people. I don't have a good quality microphone though, so I would be typing in the chat instead of speaking. Also my channel is kind of weird (I listed myself as having a favorite derivative lol).

Thanks for the three streamed matches CT5Holy. Wish I did a better job with Mudvayne's team. Felt like I was playing my own s4 mime team in the first match and got the rematch I wanted. Too bad it was still one sided though. 137 Earth Slashes with 21 PA and earth clothes? Is this accurate?

Last night's stream was fun! I did notice during the play back that my voice is a few seconds delayed from the video. So maybe next time there is a stream (unless CT5Holy and I are in the same room commentating), I will just chat on twitch with everyone else so that way there won't be a delay on calling the match

The original idea behind the game was from one of the other partners =P Also, we're calling it a beta-product because most of the art is placeholder sketches (no monies), but everything else about the game is complete.

On Fallenstarz's team I wonder how well a Jistu-Lancer would work there? For equip give him like obelisk/zephyr or esc ii/barb/cara or genji/power wrist or sprint shoes, rsm abandon/over/move-hp up, and then skills meiton (to heal undead unit)/fuuton (to heal oracle) houkouton for multi panel dmg option. Brave I think he would do good dmg at any brave really. I think it would come down to if you want him tankier or to be more offensive.

Is there going to be a stream of today or Thursday?
Also CT5Holy, is your Skype updated? If so we can screen share again and it actually allows you to screen share a window like your PSX emulator. I did a screen share with a friend a while back and he was able to see it perfectly. If everyone is okay we should do a dual commentary between me and CT5Holy again.

Great stream. Storm died out as soon as my match ended. I guess I asked the RNG gods for too much by requesting favorable rng two times in short a short time span. MVP of the stream goes to SweetJP's mime team. Unit of the day goes to DW's 40 faith blast gun mediator. If the AI really knew to use preach on itself to boost damage then it earns the official unofficial magikarp title. ------ edit no wait Truelight's squire was disgusting.

Idea!! How about we do a stream where a bunch of us are on at the same time and discuss ideas?? This would be a great time to put together a proposal which could give those who have an interest in working on it a solid foundation on which to make the patch changes. We can also have everybody, or at least most people, on together so we can bounce our ideas back and forth. IDK, just my idea but it could be fun.

I'm thinking of a few new ideas for 1.4. It's not going to the ridiculous ones like I said last stream. I still say we should add immune death sentence to the immune dead equipment so the AI won't make mistakes like that
