Sounds like you are patching to a bad rip. Get another iso/bin/img or whatever you want from some other source and try again.

If that doesn't fix it. PM me. But only after you've tested this with another iso.

Wotl process is a bit different, there is some extra steps to take BEFORE Celdia's tutorial, as well as after.

He mentioned he already read that tutorial several times, but he's not understanding.
You don't need the sprite in shishi to follow the tutorial, by using the same method as making a
WLDFACE portrait, you can import a new portrait to a spritesheet, it is the same process.

I see no reason why it shouldn't be used in Jot5. It's something that would actually make the soldier office not useless in a patch like that.
So at least you will have it in there
