im probably gunna keep it the way it is just because of how long i spent doing it the hard way lol..and i mean it looks ok to me especially for my first sprite job i just know since its my first that it probably looks like crap to everyone here whos experienced....but ill get better as i make more characters and i really like your portrait that you have as your avatar Phlash

hey just wanted to let you know that whatever class uses blackout,envenom and cripple and looks like a mediator is shooting a random arrow into the air after their book attacks and hits the guy like 2 seconds after the initial hit. It displays the damage with both hits although it only applies it once. The same goes for the nomad with peircing shot(only skill i have so far) but it shoots the 3 guys infront of me and a random arrow just gets shot out like diagonal from the third square if im seeing it correctly

oh yea that spritesheet works in the game i had to go and redo the colors from scratch tho its just when i export the bmps from shishi the portraits are really messed up here ill show you

yea i watched lijjs videos but here he is portraits done and i did some palettes too i think i screwed up the portrait cause i recolored it myself to make it 16 bit lol cause idk why but when i export the bmp's the portraits colors are just really screwed up

edit: i also changed the eyes back

so figured out changing the colors using palettes still gotta touch up a few spots but overall im impressed on my first try i really wanna know how i can animate it like in cheetahs sig time to look at more vids :D

ok yea when i eyedrop the blue to use in the portrait it uses the brown instead...im guessing this has to do with the palletes  but when i try to drap a new color to the palette it doesnt replace it...im using gimp which is probably another bad choice being as i dont think its meant for spriting

i really like the loot system also but i do think a map is needed a dungeon style map would be awesome but if its time consuming even the original style map is better then none at all i think its mainly needed for leveling or maybe some secrets like finding cloud and beowulf

so i started making a sprite today after finding this site and ruined it trying to figure out how to animate it to see it turn around but i saved the front facing sprite by itself so i guess ill just post that and the start of the portrait its just editing pre existing sprites but im new to this...im wondering how i can animate it once i redo the whole line again tho..another question i have is how do i change the 16 colors, because i edited the colors in the sprite but i dont think i did it right cause i had to change it to rgb and in the portrait it wont let me put it in RGB

So this was the first time ive played a patched fft and i have to say i love the story you have going so far but i did run into quite a few bugs. I dont know if the bugs are only on the emulator or if they,ve been brought up but figured id post them anyway. Also i was using 1.400

1. Certain spells you changed the names of still say the original name in the speech before the spell. (Ex. the spell the elementalist uses for ice crush.)
2. If you change Gospels name it only is changed when i change my abilities and gear.
3. The sprite for Gospel changes from Ramza when your fighting to Mustadio when your talking in between battles and your custom gospel sprite when in the ability and gear menu.
4. When i got to the Puppeteer fight the text was all using the same face with different names and the whole time i can only see rain and when the fight starts and i cannot do anything.
5. None of the classes look the same in battle as they do when changing your job.
6. In the first boss fight anytime he is hit or does an attack he disappears for a split second, nothing major but just so you know to look at it
7. Theres petrified Clouds' in the air in what seems to be every battle

Suggestions:

1. Create a map like in the original game with shops and maybe some side quests, but at least so you can do some leveling.
2. Change some of the woman to woman sprites(Guessing those will be custom sprites?)

If i can think anything else up ill post it but ill deff be following this just the first few fights really has me wanting to play more
