Since I found this MERCENARIES project very interesting,..
I'll contribute.  

Personally, there were some cons with the latest submission by Voldemort.
Although I like the lively colors,
It seems somewhat dull, and the vivid colors won't fit the theme well.
Because of the colors, the FOCAL POINT, which is the logo, had less focus.
IMHO, It will be better if we focus on the logo itself first.

I tried making one myself, and able to come up with these:



I print-screenED the background of the original FFT title screen,
and simply bump-mapped the image.

I cannot but agree! Let's give this a look at how it seems ingame! This is truly a fantastic image, and I'm glad to see you like the work we've done on it so far!


EDIT: I've seen it in game and it looks quite great! That logo with the sparkles does actually look better then I thought it would!

If you can get the outline for the Final Fantasy Tactics part to look cleaner, that'd be quite nice. And I think the FFHacktics.com part needs to be clearer overall. But yes, this is very nice, I especially like the Mercenaries font. Again all the fonts really need to be cleaner and clearer--they look too pixely right now.

Only problem I see now is the TM, haha! I need rid of that and fast! If Square needs one thing to jump on us about, it will be that. Remove it and it'll be golden though.

Well, I did the pixelated fonts on purpose.

Sure thing, I'll remove the TM! and make the text clearer.

-Made the FFT text mercenaries text cleaner and cleaner.
-Made it less pixely / pixelated.
-Create more white opaque with the text, and darkened the bg, to add more contrast.
-Removed the TM symbol.

Indeed, it looks much better, I think it looks more balanced without the TM personally. Though yes, I'd love to see the version that allows one to better see Gafgarion.

I have a crazy idea. How about getting rid of the "ffhacktics.com". Plugging the site just seems to degrade the screen a bit

v3 looks quite nice: the text is and the background is in good perspective. But I think Asmo may be right--maybe we should take out the ffhacktics.com part from the image permanently, unless we can edit OPNTEX.BIN

I'm curious though, what image did you take the Final Fantasy Tactics logo from? Right now it looks like it was taken out without anti-alias, which has left parts of it a little more jagged than necessary (look at the A and the C).

Hm, I took the LOGO from the official psx fft logo without transparency. So, I just remove the bg from the logo and that's what I got.
I might fix it later this week. Then, since you guys didn't like the ffhacktics part, I'll remove it with the fixed font.

Hm, I took the LOGO from the official psx fft logo without transparency. So, I just remove the bg from the logo and that's what I got.

I edited the WoTL logo a bit, and was able to muster up a pretty decent render of the FFT logo. If the quality is good enough, this might save you some time. If not...well, more work for you then.
