To note, the forums look a little messy right now, but tomorrow when I have more time, I'll straighten them up.

For the record, Arch's (and Arch2's) bans have been made permanent. PM me if you have issues with that.

To my knowledge, all you have to do is the following.

1) Find the difference (in bytes, not KB) between the patched and a clean ISO.
2) Pad the clean ISO with 00 bytes in Winhex at the end of the clean ROM until the sizes are the same
3) Save, and make the patch.

That -should- be it, unless I'm totally drawing a blank here on something.

My only desire is to restore FFH and clean it up. I've no want for power. :P

Through ASM, yes.

Or, a slightly different way is to change what spells are in Fire/2/3's, Ice/2/3's, or Bolt/2/3's slots.

News / New Adminship
December 09, 2010, 07:53:54 am
Greetings, everyone. This is my first post as an admin, and I intend to make it brief.

Let's face it. Lately, FFH has been rather chaotic. I don't intend to add to the chaos by making this transition a huge deal. For the average user, you probably won't notice much of a change, if you notice a change at all. There are, however, a few minor differences which are listed below.

1) No more "God" word filter. This means that you'll no longer have to censor yourself.

2) No more Godkicking on IRC. This means you can come on IRC (chat) and not fear being kicked for saying "omg" or the like.

3) I'm cleaning up mods. Basically, there are a ton of mods right now and I'm adjusting their privileges and the like.

4) In regards to New Topics, I will not allow topics to be posted unless there are screenshots or a video of a proposed new patch. For those who want to still talk about their patch ideas, you're free to do so in the discussion thread. This is to prevent spamming up New Projects with projects that will/have made no progress.

These are the primary changes that'll be happening. There will be more over time undoubtedly, but for now, these are the biggest ones.

I know things have been chaotic lately, and many of you want to leave FFH because of it. However, if we're to rebuild from the ashes, we need dedicated members to stick around and help. If you cannot be constructive, and don't want to do anything on here other than spam, or berate others, I will be the first to say that you are not welcome.

With that said, I welcome everyone to FFH, where some of your dreams might come true sometimes!

Alas, this victory is bittersweet. I don't think any of us want to see Xifanie go. :(

Oddly enough, I'm best at using Sephiroth and Onion Knight. Vaan is supposed to be a very tactical character.

Terra's already in Dissidia. She uses a combination of Fire and Ice magicks.

I agree with everything you just said.

All I have to say is if I do win adminship, I'm going to work closely with Phil, since I think we compliment each other pretty well.

Bad news. Apparently, when a family member of mine dropped my laptop, the hard drive was damaged. This is bad because it means the latest work I did was destroyed. However, luckily, Pride and Kagebunji have the latest versions of the patch, which means I am only setback a little. However, sadly, if I can't get the hard drive replaced tomorrow, the demo might be setback a day or two. :(

Final Fantasy: Four Heroes of Light

All I have to say is... wow. They really manage to capture the retro feel of the old NES FF's here. You have limited inventory, you need a torch for certain dungeons, random battles are (fairly) hard... it's basically a re-envisioning of FF1. Heck, there are even four archdemons and Mount Gulg.

As far as the story is concerned, it's almost a perfect parallel to FF1, except that the four heroes don't always stick together, and you switch perspectives quite often during the first half of the game. The second half of the game is very much like FFVIII after the Lunar Cry- stronger monsters on the World Map. Also, enemies -seem- to level with you, but some end-job abilities are so broken (Lux and Magic Might, for example) that it won't matter.

That said, some segments where you have to solo with a character can be tremendously annoying since damage is so low during those times. Elsewise, it's an amazing and fairly challenging game, and the little references to FF1 are nice.

I'm in the same boat with you on number 4. Sadly, with the Wiki down, that makes it that much harder. :(

Basically, in DD, I added rematches against certain people, like the Lucavi. The final battles in END are rematches against teams of Lucavi (including the ones from FFXII). Other battles in DD were Yiazmat (END), Shades of Cid (Battle vs. 5 T.G. Cids), House Beoulve (fighting against another Ramza, Dycedarg, Zalbag, and Alma) and a few other theme battles.
2978
Yeah, I'm surprised. I was expecting it to become a battle of FF music.

The Lounge / Re: On the casual use of the word rape

I agree. A lot of people online say things and don't really realize the meaning behind what they say. Not just about rape, but things in general. In a way, the anonymity of the internet brings out the ignorance of people.

Try putting the ISO in the same folder as unpackiso.
