I think I can make Smash's claws work in the axe slot

making Smash's claw work on the axe slot is a pain in the ass

why can't we replace ninja swords again? :\

perhaps whatever Ninja Swords is being used for currently can be moved to Axes instead

Hmmm...can we see the model for the Bec De Corbins? I mean, in theory those could fit in the axe slot...

I doubt I did this right, but flipping 'em around and doing some pixel work appears to allow the Bec De Corbins to replace axes. Though I probably did this wrong, as I have no idea what I'm doing. Hah.

Unfortunately I can't unless they're put into the new shishi format, which is just the weapons, not the weapon flashes and the unique battle effects.

wait, what? why would you not be able to test the becs? he just gave you a bmp which you can convert into SPR format and test, just like I tested claws, same method

does he need to send you a pic of just the upper half?

Well... yes and no, the Claws would be replacing the Ninja Swords, AKA the current Bec De Corbins, currently they're replacing Katana 2 Model (though the Katana models need to be turned into burlap sacks, if possible)

why can't they just replace Karana 2 model?

and burlap sacks can replace ninja swords?

they use the same animation basically.. just use mav's man

Because we don't know which Katana's go to Katana 2's. That would also mean that half of the "rummages" they'd pull up Claws, the reason to use Katana's are two fold.

One: Because they are linked to Relics and we don't have much of a choice on that...

Two: When they are pulled, they'll pull up a bag, obviously the game won't let me pull up a unique item type for each representation, so those are my options.


If you'd like to Mav, it's only the Claws in the wrong place, I would guess a simple swap and revertion wouldn't be too difficult.

you can find out which katana's use katana 2 by looking at their attack anims in-game..
