Aww, LD, you are too kind :P

My modding life actually started back on Duke3D in which i modded all aspects of it for my own TCs.
There was other small things along the way like level/mechanic editing in certain games, but FFT
being literally the one game i always came back to, FFT was always the ideal thing for me to start
modding.

My abilities however can directly be attributed to my team and this site. I had the motivation and will
to get things done, but none of it would have been possible without any number of Xifanie's tools,
ideas from Mercs and Remix, and the tutorials written by Cheetah, Raven, Celdia and all the Elders
of FFH.

I'd have made a mod either way, but without these things and the people I talk to daily (Xif, Raven
and other members of the Jot5 team) My quality would be nothing like what it is now, nor would my
skill.

PS: Eternal is still around IRC at times, but not very active on the site anymore.

PSS: Sorry I have nothing to contribute towards the kickstarter :P

Basically yes... But as I keep saying, that is the wrong skillset if you want an undead knight version. In WoTL he has a Job named
Death Knight, it uses skillset 27 Dark Sword.

I like how I mentioned him finding space in shishi AND that undead Algus shares a previously
used skillset and somehow I'm " not quite right" even though I did that exact thing for TLW. LOL

They are teleport moves for altima.. Also used in the WotL event in dorter with
Kletian. For the teleporting that is not at all event related... that is actually how they move..
Unless I'm thinkng of the wrong effects.

Not with how they are called no, no difference. However they don't seem to work right (above 200) if they aren't used where and when they should be in vanilla.

This is correct, Xif had to crack open BOOT.BIN to find the new worldmap instructions used for things
like the Agrias BDay event, as they were not in the WLDCORE.BIN used in WotL. BOOT.BIN also contains
some ATTACK.OUT stuff as well.

I'm assuming there is something graphic related stored here as well, since in the .ini file for the Japanese
version of FFTEVGRP you can see that it was originally supposed to include BOOT.BIN. However the new
WotL EVTCHR are still in EVTCHR.BIN, which was just expanded slightly.

Strange Square is strange.

I assumed you'd be using the Algus Undead Knight sprite from WotL.

The Algus in the game is not undead.

Yes, you can use that, but it will just look like normal Algus lol.

As long as you;

don't pass the sprite limit.
find sprite space in shishi.
make a new skillset and give it to Algus, (he uses someone else skillset with a unique name, like every other extra boss in WotL)

2) I know this will be tricky, but I'd like to add a Turn Undead ability for Priests. So I need to know how to add (or replace) an ability, add a formula (I'd like it to hit only undead Faith% of the time and reduce the target's Brave by MA+Y), and set it so the Priest is in standard casting animation while the enemies hit have the effect of Holy Explosion (I'm not looking to add new animations at this point).

3) Is it possible to make Class Evasion apply to both physical and magical attacks?

4) FFTPatcher has the Dark Knight abilities from WotL available in the abilities list. Am I able to just add them to a job's ability list or would additional hacking be needed?

5) Is there a way to make the Charge attacks target a unit and only work when a bow, crossbow, or gun is equipped?


1) I already did this, look up FFT - The Lion War. It'll be out soon, and no you cannot simply add this stuff, there is no extra event space in Vanilla, we had to rearrange everything
several times to get everything to fit.

4) No, there is not ability space for this AND Dark Knight uses stuff that the PSX version doesn't have, like that cone shaped attack

Chapter 2 has more events, and bonus stuff than Chapter 1 did :P
It should take a bit longer to get thru than Chapter 1 did.

I've rewritten the EventNames.xml for the Resources.zip

This will give the ENTD's the correct names based on their Event Names. I've also labeled
the Bravestory events as BS, as the Bravestory uses sometimes different ENTD's when re-watching
scenes. You will notice either "and BS" which means that the ENTD is the same for the Event and
Bravestory, or "BS" which means that the ENTD is for Bravestory only. If you see one without BS,
it means that that ENTD is not linked to the Bravestory.
