Help with the basics please... :D!

Just wondering before trying...

I have a lot of ideas about great stories and now that I saw this forum today I though this could be my chance to make them a great game but I've been looking for how to use your tools and everything's ok but I still can't find how I can make the sprites walk, move arms and other body parts and make dialogues in story secuences, and I would like to know if you have some tutorial there about it so I can see it before starting downloading all you say I need...

The closest thing to a tutorial I could find was:

That's a tutorial for the PSX version.  I myself am lacking in knowledge/patience for event editing so you'll most likely want to take any additional questions to the help or hacking & patching sections.

Also if you're planning on doing this for the PSP version good luck there, support and/or knowledge for the PSP version is rather lacking due to lack of emulation/debugging tools.
