Change Sprite to Wiegraf = Crash?

I tried changing one of my squires to the chapter 1 Wiegraf sprite and as soon as I hit a battle. The PSP freezes up and crashes.

yea his chap 1 sprite will crash it, I'm not sure why.  But his chap 3 will work fine.
