Ok I'm messing around with FFTPatcher and I notice that there is an Unknown slot on the Job Levels Tab.  So my question: Is there a way to occupy this slot with a custom job?

I've never tried enabling it to see what happens. But it probably doesn't link to anything useful. Still it would be worth it to check.

I'm not sure how to enable to be honest.  I think the only thing I can do is set the Job Level to have like a lvl 1 squire or something and see what happens. :?

And if it doesn't crash the game, then I can trial and error with FFTactext to see which slot it occupies and then patch that slot with a skillset using FFTPatcher.  its going to be fun I can already tell :?

Yup. That's about right.
If the unknown value is attached to a job you should be able to tell right away.
Also, make sure to test it with a male and a female just in case.

Odd.  I set the unknown job to activate with a level 1 squire and it didn't show up on the job wheel.  Any suggestions?

That means it isn't programmed to show anything.
