Is the blue mage sprite available for viewing at the moment?

Unfortunately there's no fully completed Blue Mage sprite, so for the moment Calculator sprites are being used as placeholders. Though I have to say it's one of the better fitting placeholders, as it stands.

Not at all, I am willing to take any help offered and already you seem like you'll be a great person to work with on this project.

I was able to make a quick custom sprite edit using the male calculator and oracle and come up with a quick BM sprite:

Hehe.. It's no where close what I want it to be.

That's not a bad start.  Maybe trim the collar and the large dark colored front of the outfit to more reasonable sizes and it would look halfway between traditional red mages and blue mages, in my opinion.

Update on the sprite:

From this:
to this:
Trimmed the collar and the armor, plus making it look like a traditional blue mage (ffta).

Oh, looking pretty stylish! Nice start on the feather hat, though the feather itself could use a bit of work... I liked the FFTA Blue Mage, and while a bit showy, this fits that philosophy rather well.

the second one looks excessively chubby. The feather on the second one doesn't look good either; don't know why you changed it because the first one looks good. And trimmed collar ftw.

Love what you're seeing? https://supportus.ffhacktics.com/ 💜 it's really appreciated

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)

<Raijinili> remember that? it was awful

Yeah. It really looks chubby. :P
Hmm.. I'm thinking, the mediator sprite should fit for a blue mage, too.

I'll have a try.

EDIT:
Update:
I took Sir Zodiac's suggestion:

from this:
to this:

Male Calculator + Oracle + Mediator + Blue = Blue Mage!

-Trimmed the collar more
-Less chubby
-Fixed feather?

..but I like this one better, by Ryu and Sir Smash:

Yeah, Smash's stuff is always good, though hasn't he been missing for a while? Vacation, perhaps? Nevertheless, your latest Blue Mage is quite nice, though the arms are still a bit on the plus size. Keep working on it: the concept is great.

I made the outfit a bit less chubby.
Trimmed the collar more (again) and some minor pixel fixes.

Well in the end I plan to revamp all current monster abilities down the line, the Blue Mage as it stands isn't really final. Though if you'd all like to suggest monster skills, I'll listen, I feel FFT did a rather lackluster job with representing each monster accordingly.

Since Mike isn't going to finish his Blue Mage anytime soon I am certan, may I suggest this one?

I plan on finishing him quickly, knowing me, it will take time till next Sunday, haha.

I like yours Kage. I really like the cape, it makes the sprite more like a mage, and sort of differentiates it from FFTA's blue mage.

MiKeMiTchi

I like yours as well Kage. I'd say go for the first one. :)

Same here, and yours is great to Mike, I really like the one with the turbine shaped hat.

LastingDawn

Oh I like that Blue Mage! That turban looks fantastic! I prefer the blue shoulderpads though. It flows better for me.
