Spriting / Favicon (Help, spriters!)

I am searching for someone who could make a favicon for FFH.

What's a favicon?
It's what appears next to the page name for most browsers. Other browsers may not support them at all. It can be made using photoshop.

What are the specs?
256 colors (8bit)
16x16
format .ico

I thought that this is necessary since FFH is pretty much the only site I browse that has no favicon. >_>'

I was being logged out pretty much everytime I would check a topic, therefore I would have to relog and after relogging all topic were marked read; OUCH!

nevarie's having problems since all topis are already marked read; no updates.

I messed a bit with the forum's config and oddly enoguh it doesn't look like I'm being logged so.

So what about you guys?

I found some stuff that should most likely interest you a LOT.

Special Job & Sprite sheet link (by sectors)

What does that mean?

When I find an easy way to increase the ROM size, the limit of usable sprites will basically be the number of jobs.

It would also allow to use up to 512 effects files. (I found the sector offsets for those as well)

I'm creating this topic for 2 reasons; to announce version 2.00 and to talk about instructions because MANY of them still have undiscovered uses and some, even byte length.

Basically anyone who wishes to play a bit with events can post their discoveries and update their CONFIG.INI file acordingly.

- 16mb max per attachment
- 8 attachments per post
- 2 attachments per PM
- 50mb quota for a regular user

Everything but uploaded files were destroyed from this last week.

I was installing a mod that melonhead asked, when suddenly phpBB fucked the database in my face, completely destroying its contents.

The good news is that I will soon implement an auto-backup script for every 12 hours.

Real sorry about that, it won't happen again... if you would like to retrieve some uploaded files, feel free to ask.

I just added the function to choose the ENTD and unit plus I decided to add the ENDT names before posting.

I thought of an idea two weeks ago to have random battles include mini-bosses sometimes.

There are 3 main conditions:
- Must be set as immortal (no crystal/treasure/invite/knockback?)
- ??? Stats (x10 raw HP/MP)
- Target must not be easily eliminated for its level.

Here's one I came up with this morning...

Spriting / Job & Sprite links

Been a while since I contributed to this section... the next tables shows which .SPR file will be loaded if you choose a job. I didn't inclue 80-82 as they are used for generics and with anything higher you get a special sprite. But the main job is squire and as soon as you change job you lose the special job.

Jobs marked with a * means that the current job will be as follows.
That means if you use 5A, the unit will have a fixed sprite of a squire with Calculator as main job.

I don't know the exact effects when you take any of the 3 generics (80/81/82) and mix them with special jobs... That will be for later.

Now I need to check which doubled sprites are used where. ;)

I don't remember seeing those anywhere in the game and thought it would be a good idea to use them for the website; to mark which kind of item a job can equip.

I'm pretty sure everyone will prefer the 3 color version as opposed to the original.

As long as it looks good and fills the following criterias, I'll take it.

- Transparent background
- 12x12 image

I'm asking for this becausethe elements as text takes too much space for what I have left and doesn't blend too well.

It's gonna be on the original FFT background by the way; like the one this text is on.

Finally, after hours of hardcore street fighting, kung fu, karate, judo, ninjutsu, kick boxing and chocobo hunting, here we are, on fantopolis. This server ought to be way more efficient than byethost which is the LAMEST host I've used after geocities.

Title says it all. If success chance isn't mentioned, then it's the usual weapon's accuracy that is taken into account.

An example: take the first staff, give it formula 11, and a new status with cancel Undead and Blood suck. You now have a super purifying staff! :O

Or you could make a dictionary with like 5WP that drains MP...

Hell, keep the Nagrarock with the same power but with an additional 50% chance of knockback (still have to test that out).

I don't know anymore. :S

Hacktics is a simple word play by switching only one letter (T->H) and the user has to deternime that Hac = Hack.

On the other side we have Hacktics, which shows instantly the purpose of the site without any confusion. But it looses the simple word play by changing a letter and adding "k".

Since we'll be moving in some time (after the next site is decently completed), we'll need a new name.

It's not only for the logo but for the domain name too.

Auritech.eu was temporaly and still did a great job. Too bad it lacked PHP.

I can't make a poll since I seriously have NO IDEA right now and I've been thinking about it a few times during the last month.

The Lounge / Car accident

I got hit by a car at a dangerous intersection and hit my head and knees lightly.

My left back wheel took all the hit (we'll still have to check the surronding components) and the other car is complete scrap.

The policeman & the nurses there said I should go to the hospital because even if it looked like a light hit, I could sleep and never awake ever after.

So if I don't post again on the forum you'll know that I'm dead.  :wink:

The guy's boy (around 16-17) got a hit on the hand but it should be too serious.

My insurance won't cover my car and I have 1/4 points left. :/

$151 bill, car repairs, damn.
