News:

Use of ePSXe before 2.0 is highly discouraged. Mednafen, RetroArch, and Duckstation are recommended for playing/testing, pSX is recommended for debugging.

Hey all, thought I might as well formally introduce myself ^_^

First off, let me be clear that I have a great many pseudonyms. Arcaith is just one of many many names that I use on the internet amongst BioBomber, Ferrer, Modus and a whole host of others. For the moment though, I think it's best for me to stick with what we all know :D

And now....

Welcome Arcaith! I am glad to see you could make it. I apologize for not being on IRC last night, I have a job now (2 at that...) so I really need my rest. But in any case, as always, the IRC is normally the best place to go for assistance, and of course the many manuscripts spread throughout the forums and the extensive tutorials on the site itself. It will be a true pleasure to work with you once more.

:D  Welcome, I already said hi to you in irc last night I think

The site is in need of serious new projects IMO, currently there's only one heavy modification project, and it's Lasting Dawn's...

Blasphemy! Where has gone the nose-eating monster?

And it's mispalced too. :O

Welcome, we currently don,t ahve any tool for event editing but me, VincentCraven & Lasting Dawn have experience with them so feel free to ask.

For maps... I doubt we will ever be able to edit them. unless we get lucky and a super coder come help us!

Love what you're seeing? https://supportus.ffhacktics.com/ 💜 it's really appreciated

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)
<R999> My target market is not FFT mod players
<Raijinili> remember that? it was awful

Hey welcome fellow newbie! I know exactly what you mean about just wanting to customize it and getting ahead of yourself. I think thats the only reason why FFT is still alive after nearly 10 years.

Seriously though, depending on the format in which the maps are stored, I might be able to crack the format with some close scrutiny, looking for patterns. At the very least, it should be simple enough to work out height calculation, relative rotation and any other variables applied to the maps. I don't have much experience working with them yet though, so I could be overstretching myself. Only time will tell XD And as far as asking for help goes, I'm well used to asking LD to point me in the right direction from my earlier days in OOT modifications.

Ah but in this venue I am about as unknowledgable as you may be. You probably would know a bit more in reality, though a hint, most of the maps have 4 views, loading four different files all at once to show all the views. But the man to talk to about maps is no doubt Gomtuu.

Exactly the reason why we need Japanese super coders...
I refuse to play Final Fantasy Tactics again until I am able to do my FF6 patch! And, FFT 1.3 doesn't technically count as FFT: so there!

Hey there. Nice to see more new people! And hopefully you are a Japenese Super Coder. We need quite a few....
