Final Fantasy Hacktics

Well gg guys. I'm racking up the losses. What a great way to realize all that I've missed in half a year than for nothing to go my way? Don't mind me, I'm really just ranting to myself. I've got my teams fixed as of the 7th, so hopefully I can get some more trials and call these teams finished. I removed that Thief from ABOU and put in a scholar, and changed equips to give some dark absorb, but... The team is not dark element dependent. So now, hopefully ABOU has more damage production, and even better still sandbagging, because I switched an Item Thief with a white magic Scholar. We'll see. GG

Well, gg Damned. I am happy with that ninja, for the most part. I will either up his move or add shurikan, I'm not sure yet.

OHKOers is a fine name to me. I'm happy with the team, the only flaw I see is my wizard not having MP restoration. So I'm adding that now. Pilgrimage isn't gonna help much in a 5 min match anyways, right?

nope. not really going to change my team at all. What I saw with what I was capable of doing, seemed just fine to me. Otherwise, I got derped from constant large AoE and doomed into the abyss. GG Rouroni, I bet you won't take me like that again next time.

I only run a small chance of charm, so we'll see if WKW gets his desired effect of defending it. I just also see it fitting to put the returner who's relearning with a new combatant also learning.

I wouldn't mind seeing my team go up against WK Wiegraf's. If anyone wants to run that.

Derpy massive damage Flares plus resurrection and healing. Hopefully She doesn't run out of MP despite having carbuncle.

Thanks for the video and the help Barren. I ended up choosing your lancer idea. But, If I tried to implement all your suggestions for the Squire, I would have had went over the JP Cap, so I only dropped Float. Figured I wouldn't need it as much as revival/status healing. The team has been updated, so another would be great from anybody. GG Shintroy.

Here we go. I like Magic, so here's a good starting run for my first attempt. Enjoy.

Skype chat screen sharing. but that's the only other thing I can think of. that goes directly through skype, and not through a browser, so it could be better? maybe. I'm not 100% on that.

Just so we(mostly me) are clear... what time is this in my time zone? I am in the Midwest(Central Timezone).

I had an idea for you Zotis... What if you placed like... a 50 JP, or even a 25 JP, requirement on every item, except the beginner items. You know how all the items are listed right now? what if the top item of every list were the beginner item. Every squire had to start with the beginner item of their respective valid weapon/shield/Helm/Armor/Accessory. This way every gladiator has a sense of accomplishment and get better equipment as they progress through the ranks. Like they really did back then. This will probably bring a greater challenge and allows people to really get into having really good units.

And to really explain what I mean, I'll just use the knives as an example. Let's just say you decide to begin your squire with the Throwing Knife, then you manage to win a battle and you gain some JP. well, now you have to decide to to use this currency for better equips or for better skills. If you decide on better equips, then they have the option of spending 25/50 JP to switch weapon classes, or to upgrade the Throwing Knife into the Dual Cutters, and from the Dual Cutters to the Repel Knife. The idea would be to not skip on down the list, and adds a little more variety to the strategy.

Just a thought I had, to possible amp up the excitement of your new mini-game. Tell me what you think.

Yeah, if you're going to create 7 generics for each gladiator to fight or be teamed with, you should probably mix up jobs and use the same JP cap as the gladiator in the match.

I've got a collaboration team with Enderbane23 called For Lack Of A Better Name.... that I would love to see get a battle in.

So what are we calling this indefinitely? FFT Gladiator? FFT Battle Royale? Would you create a submissions thread and video/discussion thread too?


I would love to be an active member of this. However, I think there may need to be more limits. more specifically upon items. Everyone could grab Cursed Ring right at the beginning, and then they're guaranteed not to crystalize and the such... But I love the idea, so count me in to play.

I have skype, and I am fairly accustomed to it. I can help out in some way. What's your plan on how to stream this? I know if we make a big skype group call, you can share screens and then all of us will be able to hear you and see the match as it plays on your screen.

Crap, I completely missed over the 50 faith on that first squire. I fixed that quickly, and my goal really was for him to have 70. And I changed Attack UP to Short Charge, so that his evasion can actually come into affect.

Also, I made changes to Tank Fire. So I don't know if you've already done a video with Tank Fire Barren, but they have changes that I have made from Zotis's video. I'll get my Team Submissions post updated tonight no problem.
