Yeah -- thanks, guys!  I get it.   :)

I understand that the checkboxes aren't actually flags, and I can see why one might want to remove them.  I would likely have done the same for sake of a smoother, less potentially misleading UI.  When I said I found them convenitent, I really just meant keystroke-saving convenient. I found it handy to be able to scroll between abilities and make changes I knew to be a couple bits difference without having to deal with keys.

Maybe I'm just the only one lazy enough to see it that way!

Ah, okay.  Thanks, Nyzer.

I did find the checkboxes convenient, but I can do it manually.  Indeed, I typically do a bit of both.
Or I could just reopen in 4.83 for animations tweaking...
Time will tell!

Greetings, all.

I've read some things about animations in this thread, but it all seems to be about difficulties with the results of editing animations.  By contrast, when I select the animations tab in 4.92, I get no checkboxes at all. This does not occur using the same images in 4.83. I've tried several of my patched US-NTSC .BIN images, a clean .BIN, and the read-only .IMG I keep as a default reference.

Has anyone else run into this, or have some idea of where the problem may lie?

Help! / Re: FFTorgASM appears to be doing nothing

No.  I've never actually needed to mod a formula myself, but it's easy enough to infer from FFTP's behavior that formula changes will not appear in the drop-down list.

It was really the word anything that I took issue with. When I "Open patched ISO..." the changes I've made have always been read from the image & reflected in FFTP.  Indeed, even applying an ASM hack that overwrites propostion space results in altered prop values upon an ISO re-open.

Help! / Re: Need help implementing Celdia's Patch :[

Nyzer's right on both counts.
I, too, am not aware of a PSP version of CCP ever being produced.

If one actually reads what's available on the Tools page (http://ffhacktics.com/wiki/Tools), the entry
QuotePPF-O-MATIC
> Apply a .ppf to your FFT Image to play a mod

seemed pretty straight-forward when I was learning to do this.

A word of warning: CCP implements pokeytax's massive abilities/attributes hack, which conflicts with many other things, and whose functionality is untouchable in FFTP.  Any further modding of the patched image is best done very carefully on a copy.

FFTP has basically never drawn anything from the ISO

This does not match my experience.

Perhaps it was true for old Patcher versions prior to my FFT-hacking days...
Have you continued to verify this behavior as new versions were released?

Answered pretty much this exact question for someone on GameFAQs little while ago (the night after Xif's above reply, actually).  In case you're not the same person, or someone else comes here looking for that info, I'll give you the short answer:

Enter the codes

30057F7B 004A
30058F76 0011

and save your game.

The memcard will then be storing your desired Skillset/Job as references to the default slots, so this will continue to work without more GS-Lite booting.  This condtition will persist provided you don't change Delita's job or Ramza's secondary (and then save).  For a slightly more detailed explanation see the full (but brief) thread at https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/197339-final-fantasy-tactics/75215098.
