We are still working hard to get Ch2 done, the events are almost there and once the ASMs are done and such
we can do all the bugtesting while we wait for the sprites to be finished.

If its just a palette swap, then its an easy fix, if not, then you'll have to edit each of the special frames, there is several hundred or so.

What happens in the event is that it will use the original EVTCHR frame, but with the palette of the new sprite, so if the palette and sprite
doesn't match that of the EVTCHR frame, it'll derp out. Doesn't effect gameplay, though it is very ugly to look at and at times can be down
right nightmarish.

I haven't looked yet, but I wanted to mention (I'm pretty sure) we actually do have a fat chocobo effect around here somewhere, you should take a look
at it if you get the chance.

Correct, just make sure the image is clean, no patches or expansions through Shishi and it should work fine

Would just like to mention that we are taking on new spriters for Jot5 if anyone is interested.
We still have some stuff that needs to be done for Ch2 and that department is the least finished
of all of them.

Haha, I'm all about the nostalgia. Though it's more that the SNES era was the best for RPGs in my opinion. I'm also a fan of streets of rage,
as well as golden axe and still have some of them for my genesis.

Legend of Mana is one of my favorite PSX games. I've played through it more times than I would like to admit. Seiken Densetsu 1-4 is my 2nd
favorite series of games after the Suikoden series and at a very close 3rd is Final Fantasy

I have heard of Ragnarok online, but haven't tried it yet. Though I was playing through Suikoden 5 again for like the 10th time not long ago.

Currently playing through Earthbound Uncut on the SNES. The project aimed to make the story/dialogue/names/some small graphics more like they
were in the japanese version (Mother 2). So far it's pretty neat and a great way to get myself back into a game I played as a kid.

Also currently playing Secret of Evermore with the 2-Player Patch and Seiken Densetsu 3 with my wife. I never really understood why SoE wouldn't have
been 2 player in the first place, but the patch defiantly increases the fun factor. Not much to say about SD3 as it's awesomeness speaks for itself.

Lastly, off and on I've been playing both LoZ: Goddess of Time and Parallel Worlds Remodel. Both of these are mods of Link to the Past and are very
well done, if you are a LoZ fan, defiantly worth checking them out.

Next I suppose I will play thru Earthbound Zero again, then maybe the Secret of Mana while I said for Hyrule Warriors to come out.

Mini-Update:

Extra Chapter 1 events/marks/battles have been completed, Chapter 1 re-release is only currently
waiting on the Ganon sprite as well as whatever ASMs Choto hasn't fnished yet :D

I told Jumza I'd post this like a month ago, so here ya go:

My idea was to make sort of a "Welcome to FFH!" event, however this would actually be numberous events linked
together (remove loading screen in video editing) due to ENTD restrictions.

Basically, it would go to a map with a bunch of people from each patch (minus the dead ones) and section, like Arena,
CCP, CoP, PW?, Jot5, The ASMers, The spriting section, the FFTA Section, The IRC crew, etc. Each introducing their selves
and what they do on FFH.

There was more to it than this, but you get the general idea, just something to welcome newcomers, and perhaps
explain that we have an EDIT button or something :P

If you wanna work on this, lemme know and we can work out who does what scenes/sections/mods/etc. I already have
what sprites to use for just about everyone, and rough ideas for each little scene.

You have the right idea adding in that wait, the reason this happens is because an effect casted on a unit resets the unit, so what you need to do is find that
exact amount of wait time before calling the death frame, otherwise he will get right back up. I usually do a Wait(00050) and work down from there.
Currently you have a Wait(00030) wish is likely just not long enough, which is causing your issues.

If you have other questions not concerning this error it (for the sake of new eventers looking for solutions) would be better to mark as solved once it has
been and make another topic for the next question.

I hope this solves that first issue atleast, and you can usually always find me on IRC if you need a faster response.

For the changemap, are you using the new config? cuz the original Changemap and the one we have now function differently, the new one will darken the
screen first, then you can switch the map with the byte it uses. Once you change it it's like beginning a whole new event, you have to use a camera and its
associated commands again just as you did at the beginning of the event. Saying this, what I normally do when using changemap is delete the chars I don't
want on screen before using the camera functions to reveal the new map.

No dude, you cannot take the writing which has already been proved to be half mistranslated, this is the reason WotL exists.
Giggle all you want, but that was a crappy example.

We are talking about effects here, what was stated was that they don't flow correctly with the rest of the game. The example
above that Xif showed was to display how a good modded effect CAN look correct in game.

As for the Ultros, you mean the one you did with all the non-transparent balls everywhere? That doesn't look very good IMO.
The only summoning one that really does fit currently IMO is Terra.

FYI, None of the Jot5 team gets paid, but we are very strict on quality, because in the end that's what people want, we do
things on a professional level, because that's how things should be. If you start messing with the graphic style of the game
and don't care about coming off professional at all, then you end up with a LOL Patch. Which is fine, if that's what you are
aiming for I guess.

This is a graphic glitch, those are not a good thing lol.

Also, at this point, I'm going to ask that you just put ALL your effects into 1 thread, you have them spread across 3 sections now,
no reason for that.

I like it, but I still can't get down with that Buster Sword. Especially considering that it would have to take over
his singing frames, and it would make no sense if, lets say, he was a mage chanting a spell. The effect itself
is pretty cool though.

Yes, I'm referring to normal swords, neither the Buster Sword nor the Materia Blade are Katanas.

I see whats going on for Braver now, so my other concern is for the sake of consistency, why does he
not disappear for Braver as he did for Blade Beam (i think that was it?)
