Urgh I know what you mean Choto but shading isn't my forte T_T

I decided to redo the whole spredsheet of gilgamesh armor. First, I recolored the sprite of mercenary Ramza in golden.
Then mix the torso and arms parts of ramza with the bottom of Delita.

For those who want the recolored Ramza.

Now I know why custom arms are a pain. Because of the shoulder pads, some works needed to be done on the arms. Sadly, I wasn't skilled enough to do it. So I kept the original arms.

To Durbs and Nojgaard: thank for your welcome. (If I can finish this one fellas then my dream will come true. Kidding.)

To Nojgaard: Kagebunji said the same thing so I tried to remodel a bit the hair (I think now there's less spicky and it should fit a bit more the reference and the portrait).

When you said upper left and the middle you're speaking about the hair (or the shoulder pad) ?
If it's about the hair should I make the second spike from the left shorter or the third from the left longer?
Also for further changes, I'll edit the first post (it'll more easy to spot the fresh work at first sight)

Well I'm a bit perfectionnist and make thing one at a time but I'll try to work a bit faster.

I dunno what is the best: showing each frame one at a time (since I want to take my time doing thing neatly and I'm not sure it is  :oops:) or posting most of them and redoing the batch ?

I also try to do some sprite (the battle animation) and it's more time consuming than doing FFT one (you must code the timing of the movement, the screen effect and create a whole new animation spredsheet). A shame fire emblem universe isn't finished

Thank Celdia. Only problem is the cape that has disappeared but I'll try to improve it.

(Kagebunji tell me that it was a bit flashy so maybe i'll darken it a bit and change the hair (a bit too picky))

Edit: I manage to solve the palette problem (thank to Celdia help) by erasing one colour of the cape and reshading it with two colours (instead of three). I darken the color a bit (using the yellow palette of the black mage hat). For the hair I dunno why but I thought there was fitting.

Here is the version (the last I think)

Edit: Sorry seems like I messed up again. This one is good.

To Taichii: For the palette that's what I did: the yellow is from delita armor set, the blue from the knight, the red from another char. I used usenti for the sprite but I still dunno which colour should be erase.

I too prefer gilgamesh without earrings

To Celdia: The portait is just a mug but it turned out quite well. The earrings were left off because.... I forgot about them (I'm ashamed to said that). But I do think it's better without (I'll still make one with earrings). For the sprite, I still got the palette problem (17 instead of 16 colours) and dunno which can be erase (I try but it made the char weird looking)

To Taichii: Thanks. Now the hair are better (as well as the shading). Only problem is the palette  :(

To Jon: Thanks for your advice. I decided to make the eyes 1 pixel height (I made two models (on the left side it's with the middle red and in the right side it's with the darkest red): this give it kind of a mean/angry look. For the hair I got a little problem due to palette limitation (I have 17 colours, so I can't add some more. I must erase one). Thus changing the hair colours will change the armor colours. For the other view, I'll do them when the palette is fixed.

You really don't like the red eyes, do you? (I know it seems a bit less FFT-ish but it's more accurate for the character)
