Tithin, I'm not sure what you are thinking looks like engineering goggles.

Well I could give you what I have done Zozma, though it is all photoshop. Or if you wanted to cut out the Calc's head and finish the parts that are cut out by her huge caller than I could easily put the new head on with a mask.

using the body and arms, a head transplant might be the best thing. it might be easier to use purple mystery's body since there is no hair hanging down in the back...

Me like this blue mage. Will there be a male blue mage also? I was thinking making it like the FFTA BlueMage. I like the feather hat.

I hate the FFTA blue mage and the FFXI blue mages. I think it will look a lot like the FFV Blue Mage, with a blindfold again, but a bit more armor.

Don't worry, with my current female blue mage the head is separate from the body and the head will be no problem to remove. One of the advantages of using Photoshop.

Do you think you could give me a week to come up with a design before you take this project on Zozma? Give me a chance to finish my Blue and Red Mage jobs sprites. A project over a year in the making lol.

So here is a rough concept for a Male Blue Mage. Major color changes need to be made, but I think I have the general design how I like it. I will likely reduce the amount of red significantly and add more blue and red highlights. He will likely end up with blond hair not brown, but it all depends. What do people think? Is the blindfold a good choice for the job class?

Ah yes I forgot that you use this for one of your main characters. If you have any ideas for what you would like for the hair I would love to see them. Hair is your expertise not mine haha.

you know what i haven't really used? since beowulf is out of the picture, either his hairdo OR the commoner 20 year old male hair.

the rad hairdo does look nice and perhaps in the end for other ppl it could be used. but here it would make him look more common if i did that.

I like your suggestions. I will see how they look. I'm still really focused on getting the body looking good. Though I am totally digging the cape.

I like it.
14:45  @SilentB         ò "Hey, Cosgrove, how come you never married?"
14:45  @SilentB         ò "Because I eat too much meat."
14:46  @Celdia          ò Heresy. No such thing as 'too much meat'
14:47  @Celdia          ò One night with tithin would teach you that.

Blindfolds = awesome

They look very iconic without actually having a precedent, aside from the pseudo-reference to FFV's masquerade masks.

I love the blindfold idea. Such a small detail but, when you think about how blue mages work, it really fits and gives them their own lore.

i like cheetahs but something more like the original from FFTA would be more well suited heres a link on how they look but you know since cheetah doesnt like how they look maybe you should combine both cheetahs and ffta version

well cheetah's concept version is more like the classic blue mages, using ffV as an example, which i actually prefer as well but haven't attempted to complete.

Conversely, someone else is workin' on that style of Blue Mage, for anyone interested. Cheetah's, however, looks fucking awesome. The blindfold is such an interesting touch. Can't wait to see where this one goes.
