This is rather well known information Scatttman. We are actually working on editing and changing animations for weapons in other topics. We are running into weird generational knowledge gaps now adays. Maybe this will inspire some of the knew folks, but the bottom line is that we need to be much more organized about how we keep records of information.

Edit: Wait a minute, this topic name doesn't even make sense. These sprites are part of FFT, not a different game.
Edit2: Okay it is clear to me now that english isn't your first language scattman, so I am just going to make the title of this thread a bit more informative.

While I'm sure some changes could be made based on the FFTA weapons, they do not translate well as-is at all, and they have different looks for each different weapon, something FFT can't do.

yep they can be changed but only selecting the best cause one can be replaced for another and it is just palette changes. . .

Headgear though ^__^ looks possible

Honestly, the size of those helmets seem rather absurd for most of them.

yep like mushroom men in Super Mario. . . but it can be edited. . . problem would be all the missing angles that would be done from scratch by the designer of the concept. . .

I disagree they seem like a good size.
Compare to the massive OK and DK helmets.
Also, consider the SD-ish nature of the FFT graphics.

I wonder if the actual helmets in ITEM.bin are a good size for use in sprites?
That would be a great resource if they art.

A bit outliney but workable. . . lets try if I can make a Shredder out of one of the helmets and put it here. . .

*edit

Nope cannot be used directly needs to be edited and not just cleaned of outlines. . . it is more Lucavi sized then human

I wouldn't call them lucavi size.
The real challenge here is creating the helms in all the needed frames.
Here's a quick edit I did to my Rad as Dark Knight using the basic type helm icon.

I don't know Vanya, I think Seushiro is right, the helmets definitely need to be adjusted to be a few pixels smaller. The cross helm looks like a perfect fit on that Lucavi. In fact if you got rid of the snake that would be a great new boss design haha.

I call optical Illusion!!
Serpentarius' head is about the same size as a normal human head.

Here is a comparison of in-game helms with my previous edit.
I think it's perfectly consistent with the proportions the sprites use as long as some of the outlining is removed. (which I didn't)

well hell yeah I guess it works with some designs but really needs to be cut a few pixels for some. . . (the Dark Knights Helm is really huge its almost bigger than the helmet you chose!!!)

from the helmet you chose I think its just a few pixels bigger than Gaffy's. . .

*edit

I think your Rad's gone back to training camp with that. ..  ahahah

I think it is more the proportions of the head to the body than the head itself. FFT sprites in generally don't have a very SD feel to them, just a bit of anime flair. It is close, but the helmets need to be adjusted just a bit.
