Ok, so which is better?

A) Go to Igros Castle, load "Nothing" and open up Sweegy and Dorter

B) Go to Igros Castle dot, view menu, close menu and open up Sweegy and Dorter

I might be able to make it trigger after Mandalia Plains event, but it's not working exactly right at the moment.

EDIT: Never mind, the World Map is a screwy cracker.  I'll just leave the World Map be for this version.  One of these days, I'll get rid of the pointless "Now Loading" black screens that are going to be all over the place, I tell you.
I changed jobs and that has made all the difference.

A!  It'll flow better if carried through to all other events.
Just another rebel plotting rebellion.

If you'd like Vincent, you could take the World Map out of the equation in it's entirety...

This unfortunately stops shopping though.
"Moment's anger can revert to joy,
sadness can be turned to delight.
A nation destroyed cannot be restored,
the dead brought back to life."

Hmmm.

That's an interesting thought, but the theme behind my Event Skipper is to cut out everything that has no effect on an SCC game play.

No world map would be very good if we could figure out how to add in the other "Rogue-like" elements along with it, namely the "no HP/MP healed after battle" aspect.
That, however, is a different project.

Added Event SKipper v0.75
-Cuts in-battle events for chapter1
-Other events cut from all chapters
-ATTACK.OUT skips over most in-battle conversations and excessive events
I changed jobs and that has made all the difference.

Does it skip the Ramza/Aglus scene where Ramza loses brave in Fort Zeakden?

I made sure to leave the in-battle events for Fort Zeakden, and I simply took out all text except for Gmph!  If the conversations in any of the other battles effect the events (ch1 only), I'll need to go back and re-enable them.

I think the mandalia plains is the only other one that effects brave in chp 1, there are at least two I can remember in ch 2 though, araguay woods and the one where you have to help Mustadio the first time (Zaland Fort City?)

Right.  I also left the option to Save/Not Save Algus in Mandalia right before battle starts.  Any time there is an option, I leave the option available.  More subtle stuff might be lost if there is any.

After using this for a bit on the SoR patch, I think it rivals the invention of sliced bread in ingenuity and usefulness. Chapter one is so much more playable with event skipper, thank you very much :)

No problem.

Maybe someday I'll feel like touching up the rest of it.  Doesn't take long, it's just that I haven't played FFT much lately.

Unless I installed this incorrectly, I think it may be causing a bug that doesn't allow Mandalia Plains to finish.  So, after I beat it, the dot is still orange and I have to do it again.  It seems to be working properly for me up to that point though.

Hmm...

Cripes, I thought I fixed that.

The file on the front page works for me...

I think the problem is that I wasn't clear on how to patch.  I removed the old link so that you avoid confusion with using the older version.  Just patch the TEST.EVT and ATTACK.OUT from the event skipper file.

Here it is again, just for redundancy sake:

Ok, it appears to be working correctly now.  Sorry about that!  Not sure what I did wrong the first couple of times.  Must have been using the wrong test.out?

Also, thanks for this hack!  Should save me so much time.

Arganthonius7

The first time I tried to use Kokojo's tutorial for event editing I accidentally removed the first event. Perhaps you could check it out and see what happens.
