That's a major part of it, certainly. The synthesis system is meant to be a big part of the game. The expanded Mark system, too. I actually planned out a ten-Mark chain - a plotline that has the same number of story battles as Chapter 1 of FFT - towards the end of the game that covers a lot of backstory, side plots, and endgame equipment acquisition.

But also, things have been shuffled around since the release of Chapter 1. Items and abilities have been re-sorted, the text has been redesigned to counter issues like being unable to load an entire section at once, I'm pretty sure the ASMs have gone through some alterations to allow Jot5 to run on actual PSX consoles...

While everything could certainly be stitched together as is, I don't think anyone here really wants to do that now only to do it all again later.

Honestly I don't remember the TA Machinist.

Whether or not you want to do that to Mustadio is up to you and how close you want your mod to be to the base game. I would say changing the Archer is arguably necessary because its skillset sucks for even a second tier job (though it's considerably better in Jot5 where it's on the Squire instead and most other skills now cost MP). But there are many potential ways to approach that adjustment.

Well, it's not about Chapter 2 specifically, but the addition of the synthesis system, and the related features, coming with the next iteration of Jot5 has been a major thing, for one. Real life stuff going on has also been a thing for most of us - speaking just for myself, I've been spending nearly every second weekend out of town for the last while, and I also took a job change that has had me out doing long shifts five days a week (just finished a shift that went from 9:30 AM to 10:05 PM, in fact).

Chapter 2 on its own could, maybe, theoretically be rushed out, I guess. The events are mostly done, there's no major changes planned for its story. (Though no gameplay testing's been done as far as I'm aware.) But everything else being added to the game is so extensive that it'll require players to start a whole new save file - there's no point rushing Ch. 2 out the door.

We had some vague plans to launch Ch. 2 with the rerelease, since it's the rerelease that's holding us back most of all. That's probably how it'll go down.

And if anyone's curious, chapter 3 is nowhere near ready. I've evented some of the Marks for it and we've been occasionally planning & discussing the script for it - that's about all there is on that front.

Aim is a special skillset that doesn't use normal skills. Like Jump or Arithmeticks. And last I checked you can't just throw skills like that together with normal ones and have it function properly in game.

Also, it doesn't break the usefulness of mages. Weapon-based, single-target debuffs are different enough from a mage's AoE spells to make both worthwhile. And that's just as a generic. The argument completely falls flat when you're talking about special characters, considering Swordskills are broken as fuck.

Pretty sure you can't use default Aim skills and normal skills in the same skillset.

Also, making Mustadio an Archer copy is redundant, as he already has access to the Archer job in game. I'd recommend instead expanding his potential body part targets (ex. Eye to blind, Vitals to KO, Mouth to cancel casting, Throat to silence), while the Archer becomes a venom specialist to produce different effects (Toxic Venom to poison, Lethargic Venom to slow, Tranquilizer to sleep, Cursed Venom to stone).

That's just an example, of course. Do things however you like, but just making Mustadio an Archer copy... I mean, by the time you get him, your generics with Archer JP will already do what he does, but better than he does. A bit of overlap is fine IMO (though I do know some who would disagree) but that much... no.

C'mon, dude. I dunno if there's a tutorial (or if it's even possible to do) but, either way, don't make posts like this.

Make the topic name descriptive. Not "help me please" - go for something like "How to add custom sprites?"

And this is the FFTA 1 and 2 board. Which one are you looking to edit? Because that makes a massive difference. You should specify that. (Preferably in the title.)

Innate Reactions, in my experience, prevent the player from equipping their OWN learned Reactions. (Possible workaround: no learnable Reactions - they only exist as innates. They might still appear equipped after changing Jobs until entering battle though.)

Allowing weapons with different ranges to be Dual Wielded can result in stuff like swords having gun range. (Possible workaround: remove all Equip Weapon Type abilities, and never allow any Job to equip more than one kind of dual wielding weapon.)

Mods like these take quite a lot of time, and given that they're incredibly unlikely to ever turn around and provide any RL benefits they're a lower priority than - for example - bill-paying employment, raising a family, dealing with long-term health & medical concerns, and so on.

Sorry (not sorry) that this concept for a free fangame hasn't progressed quickly enough for your liking. Feel free to step up to the plate and show us how it's done yourself, though.

No, it's the text patching. A known issue for WotL. You need to change the "unit turned into crystal/treasure" lines.

You probably want to be a lot more descriptive. There aren't many FFTA modders to begin with, and I'd bet they're all doing their own thing as is. A blank topic like this from a two-post user isn't exactly an appealing invitation.

I mean... the problem might not be your phone model, but your phone itself. Something defective or corrupt.

As we can tell you, the issue definitely isn't with the normal (or even properly modded) game.

No, the help board is definitely the right place for a question like this.

However, I run modded versions of the PSX & PSP games on my Android devices and I've never encountered such issues. I'd almost definitely have to argue that it's hardware related.

Using the LiOS Editor on the PSX would be like trying to mod a PC with the parts of an abacus. The LiOS Editor is a pathetic shadow, a pale copy of the tools that the PSX and even PSP versions can run with. Take a look around the site and see.

Speaking of the PSP version, I DID mention it earlier. The PSP version IS WotL, if that's the version you prefer. The PSX version is still much more moddable, but at least the PSP version isn't as bad to mod as the mobile ones.

So you want to install an Android emulator on your PC to run the Android version of the game?

We barely have people who can offer advice for the PSP version, let alone the mobile ones. Not to mention that the further away you get from the base PSX game, the harder the game becomes to modify.

If I were you, I'd just get a PSX/PSP emulator on the android device and mod those versions of the game. Yeah, you'd lose the save file, but you'd be able to do so much more.

The fastest way is to apply your changes to a savestate or the ISO, then load the game.

You can probably ASM the Axe formula and then just add Always Slow to the axes' attributes. If you're on WotL you can't ASM the formula, though.

I am baffled as to why you'd make an eight minute video to ask for clarification on a fairly straightforward Warning from a year ago. Shooting down necros isn't exactly uncommon forum behavior either.
