I have Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions (the PSP version) and i want to make custom sprites. I have Shishi Sprite Editor (the one that came with FFTPatcher ver. 0.236) and i wont let me open sprites. I also want to make sprites but I dont kno where to start or what to use. How do I create sprites and put them into the game? Does anyone know how to make custom sprites have their own melee actions instead of transforming back into the original sprite? Thanks in advance!

All your questions will be answered if you just keep reading in this topic. There are some guides that will really help you. The lack of not all the attack animations working is no longer an issue, ShiShiSpriteEditor fixes that. Go to http://istaken.org/fft/ this is where you will find all of the fully decompressed sprites so that you can begin messing with them.

I would recommend using the psx version, more is known about it at this point and it involves many less steps to get going. You can either rip that iso from your own copy of the psx disc, or use various rather illegal methods to obtain through the internet. I don't think this is a place where you can ask to do that however.

I used to have a PSX version of the game....but my old ps2 destroyed it...while i was playing my ps2 was making very weird noises so i opened the disk tray and the game was all scratched and it snapped a bit (i wish i knew how it happened)

I don't quite understand the question. By Unit.BIN do you mean the graphic file with all the unit pics for the formation screen?

Yeah i think thats wat it is. I read the topic called Editing the Unit.bin and it had a lot of sprites on it and it helped with making sprites. So do u kno how to get it because when i look at my gamesave it has Battle, Effect, Event, Map, Menu, Saveimage, Sound, unknown, World, Battle.bin, FFTPack.bin, Lioneditor.bin, SLPS_007.70, and System Speed Dial.

Ill be back tomorrow I have to get off now. Bye!
